It’s been a while, hasn’t it? I’ve just made a brew, and figured it was definitely time to do a new post! I’m slowly getting up to date with editing, we are NEARLY THERE 💃

September was busy…. Beautifully busy and I wouldn’t wish for it to be any different. It just means that my October is spent behind the screen and editing.

Hows your October going? I’m going to open up a couple of dates for Autumn mini sessions before the weather turns and treats us to a muddy mess everywhere 🤭

Signature pose 🖤 - I’ve been doing this pose for YEARS. Is it even a JDoor Photography wedding if you haven’t done this pose?
I remember seeing it on Pinterest or when I was looking for inspiration and just loved it. Then is became a thing 👌 I’ve got an entire gallery dedicated to this pose on my phone 🫣

CLAIRE & ADAM: Saturday 28th September 2024: what a way to finish wedding season 💃

The decor was unreal, from Pinterest board to reality and so wonderfully created. Hats of to Claire & the girls for creating a flower arch of dreams.

The entire day was beaming with LOVE. You could feel it and it was so wholesome. Thank you so much for welcoming me and embracing the “candid” life 🤪

Ok. I think I need help.
I can’t stop thinking about this doughnut tower. I CANT STOP THINKING ABOUT IT. My mouth is watering looking at this photo… sugared ring doughnuts are a firm favourite of mine so the struggle was real to photograph this without touching/licking/taste testing.

… you’re pretty good at what you do, aren’t you? 🤪

HAPPY MONDAY 🥰 I’m off to buy some sugared ring doughnuts which will most likely be a huge disappointment because they’ll be from Sainsbury’s or some other participating supermarket.

How’s it already been 1 week since this incredible wedding? ❤️ Here’s some beautiful frames from such an epic day.

This weeks Saturday vibes for me: currently watching Below Deck then will be catching up with MAFS whilst getting my editing done. It’s a never ending story of editing… Who knew that becoming a photographer would 1) involve being behind a screen MOST of the time and 2) mean you’re literally working all of the hours you can 😂

Would I change it? Absolutely not.

Once upon a time, I would’ve decided against using the flying veil photos as part of the wedding gallery. As the years have gone by, and as my style has developed, these are the kind of moments I LOVE to capture.

I want to capture your wedding day as it unfolds, photographing those real moments as they happen, getting your personalities to shine through and I want to create a gallery that brings back the emotion of your day.

Authenticity. Thats my style. Staged images aren’t my kind vibe… I’ll guide you through your couples portraits but I won’t be getting you to vogue.

Hands up if you thought having wet weather means you can’t get photos like this? 👆

Saturdays wedding was blooming beautiful. The pockets of sunshine were so welcome, the rain was embraced and the reception venue was divine.

It’s difficult to feel excited when it rains on the day of your wedding, but trust me when I say it rarely pours down all day and any experienced photographer will be able to switch the schedule around to make it work around the showers. If we say “GO!!!”, it’s because there is a break in the weather…

Rachel and Alex planned their wedding in 13 weeks… yep, 13 weeks. They celebrated on the day of 6 years since meeting and we headed to their meeting place for a quick drink before heading to their reception venue. It was EPIC!!

Hey Pals!

It’s been a few days since I’ve last posted, or even done a talking story. What is this?

I’ve entered into a mega busy few weeks for both business and personal life so I’ve not been particularly consistent on my socials. In fact, I’ve not really participated at all. Sorry about that!

I’ve currently got my head down in the office preparing for tomorrow’s full day wedding. We’ll be embracing the elements if it does decide to chuck it down 💃

Life with an independent, determined and sassy 16 month old is WILD. Luna is hilarious at the moment but equally SO difficult 🫠 I think those of you with little ones can resonate with me on this front. She’s decided the car seat is a no go, she must walk everywhere (she can’t walk unaided - RIP my back) and the buggy must be abandoned so that she can walk. But every day is blooming amazing, and everyday she has a new word. Her favourite word is “helicopter” at the moment.

That being said, thank you for being patient with enquiries. It’s pretty impossible to do any work with a wild child requiring my full attention so admin/editing is usually in the evenings. My time is mega precious and please remember there is just a human behind this business.

OH HELLO. I am beyond tired today. A busy weekend of photographing for me 💃 First up, a 70th wedding anniversary. Yep, 70 years ❤️ Then a christening yesterday.

I’d love to say I got a fabulous night sleep after a busy weekend but unfortunately, Luna had a really rough night which meant I did too. I could be kind to myself today and rest, but I have SO much to do that I am powering through with anything I can get my hands on that has caffeine and sugar.

I’ve had a couple of last minute 2024 wedding bookings in the diary which is blooming lovely. Thank you SO much 😻

Golden hour maternity sessions with me are just beautiful ❤️ Yesterday evening I headed to with to be creative. A 34 week, gorgeous mama to be and a true natural behind the camera.

What you don’t see in these images is the hundreds of people that were still on the beach at 1930. It was wild. Thankfully, I was able to capture the images I had in mind despite the beach being so packed.

thank you for being so patient and beautiful during this photoshoot. Thanks for being patient with wildewolfe the changing tent and enduring the 3 hour drive home because of the horrendous traffic.

It’s Friday 💃 I’ve got the “Phonics” song playing on repeat in my head, I’ve just finished reading A Court of Thrones and Roses by and Im already in bed with a cat on me about to start book number two. Firstly, have you read said book? It’s EPIC. I didn’t think I would enjoy it but oh how wrong I was.

Secondly, if you are also owned by cats, do you find that they give you none of the space? Once Luna is in bed, or has had her fill of cuddles, you can guarantee a cat will be ON me… as if I wasn’t already overstimulated by too much touch.

Thirdly, I’m heading into my busiest month yet. I am so grateful to every soul that has recommended me. I am venturing more into the motherhood and family sessions, filling my diary with those has made my heart incredibly happy.

Croatia 🇭🇷 2024 - A beauty and a very different holiday to the usual adventures. We flew into Split then headed towards Vinišće which is 30 minutes from Trogir. Our was absolutely stunning… a private pool, air con (needed in the unexpected 35-36 degree heat), a gorgeous egg chair on the patio overlooking the sunset for relaxed reads and a 10 minute walk to the Marina. GORGEOUS.

IM BACK 💃

10 days of pure bliss in Croatia. A very different holiday to our usual adventuring but it was HOT. We didn’t expect it to be quite as hot as it was out there (not complaining) so there was a lot of rest involved 🫠 We had a blast, Luna had an amazing time and now I am back at the laptop answering emails, sending booking forms out and getting this brain engaged into work 😻

Did you miss me? Ha… I doubt it 🤦🏼‍♀️ My stories kept you entertained, right?

Oh and if someone could just give me the biggest slice of cake I will be forever grateful. Honestly, I can’t stop looking at wedding cake photos 🤤

It’s been SO busy and rather stressful with life at the moment hence why I’ve been quieter than normal. My creative writing brain just isn’t working how it usually is but my editing brain is on fire 🙏

I’m currently sat in the car whilst Luna naps and I’m taking the opportunity to do a bit of work on my phone which I really am not enjoying 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m SO HUNGRY that my stomach hurts, all I can think about is Starbucks coffee and cinnamon buns from Aldi yet I have none of the snacks in my car. Mums, why do we do this to ourselves?

I hit send on Brophy & Lucy’s wedding last week and their gallery is just DIVINE. I’m having a look through their images again now and I just love every single image. The pure joy captured at their wedding may be unbeatable 🥰 ❤️

Getting ready spaces - when I walk into your prep room, and I am blessed with ample space, clutter free and lots of light, I do a little happy dance. Sometimes that happy dance is in my head but most of the time, it’s in real life. (“For the real life” - Bingo from Bluey)

I feel like my brain hasn’t stopped for ages, I’m constantly running on overdrive but we’ve got this. Last week I delivered Laura and Olly’s lush wedding gallery as well as a family shoot gallery… right now, I’m working my way through Lucy and Brophy’s wedding WHICH I LOVE. ❤️

I’m going to pop some smiley faces in the oven for lunch, pop Greys on the tele and edit whilst Luna naps 😍

Oh… hands up if you went to see the Foo’s or Taylor Swift this weekend 🤘🏻

Not me being obsessed with light and getting creative at weddings 😍❤️ I hunt light, I get excited by light and get mega excited by a golden hour. I am forever observing, forever watching for catchlights and forever waiting for the right moment. That moment hits and I get gorgeous images like these. Light changes SO quickly that you have to think rapidly and grab the image.

Ive become more obsessed with light since visiting so often and observing the shadows in the glasshouse. It’s made me a better photographer and it’s made me realise I can bring the full creative out in me at weddings.

I LOVE LIGHT. Not lamp. LIGHT.

I’ve sat here for the past 30 minutes trying to decide which frames to post as a “THIS WAS SUCH AN EPIC WEDDING” post… and I’ve struggled because I just love every image from the preview I sent through to this magical couple.

Lucy & Brophy, you two are just awesome. From the moment I chatted on zoom to you (with Luna) and heard about your plans, I knew it was going to be an unforgettable wedding.

I genuinely have run out of words this weekend - usually I waffle on but I think my creative soul has been left so happy it’s gone into standby mode 🤦🏼‍♀️
