Each gig we put on we aim to make it an event with bands playing. Given the climate we are in all gigs line ups are subject to change more so than in normal circumstances. If there are any band cancellations A replacement will be found, who that will be will depend on availability but at Undercover we always aim to have the best possible line up given budgets etc. Like all other promoters except if an event is cancelled we are not able to offer refunds even if a band has to be replaced. As we say at Undercover See Ya Down The Front Or At The Bar!!!

Its all happening at Undercover in Guildford and South Essex

These are difficult times for everyone as things cost so much, we do our best at Undercover to keep costs down, the venue (The Holroyd Arms / Suburbs Venue Guildford) have probably the cheapest bar for a music venue for many miles around, and not £10 a pint like other music venues not too many miles away, hopefully with your continued and valued support we can keep the music we all love live and kicking!

A quick heads up that we have just updated all our gigs coming up in 2025 with recent additions, date changes and replacements.

This is for the Undercover gigs in Guildford and for our 2 day festival in South Essex where we have announced a change in one of the headline bands, see links below for details.

TOUGH DECISIONS IN DIFFICULT TIMES
Together let’s keep the music we love alive and kicking!

A lot of venues and promoters are pulling gigs if sales are poor or the band headlining or supporting does not help by spreading the word and in many occasions only leaving it to the last minute to tell people they are actually playing.

These days its tough putting on gigs and if a band does not play their part until the last minute, begs the question do they really want it and whether the gig should go ahead with them or at all.

In normal circumstances unlike many others over the years I do not pull gigs due to low sales.

BUT THAT IS GOING TO HAVE TO CHANGE
Losing money at a gig is not an option for me anymore.

We have three Undercover The Holroyd Arms / Suburbs Venue gigs coming up for everyone in April and May, the line ups are great and good value, don’t forget at Suburbs The Holroyd unlike many other music venues not too far away you won’t be charged a TENNER for a pint, the view of the stage is far superior and they like us accept cash!

25th April: Gizz Butt (former The Prodigy and so much more) is bringing his band Janus Stark to Guildford+ RAGE DC +Undercover 1st timers all the way from The Stereotypes

Independent Record stores are under a lot of pressure, far too many closing these days.

These guys at Fives Records Leigh On Sea have been there 47 years, times are not good.

I went there recently and found a Mescaleros 12 inch, well happy.

These places are vital to keep music alive and not just online.

Well CHiLLiTOWN FAYRE on Saturday was fun and successful; it means a lot after all the work we put in to receive such a great feedback and even more to me to see all those smiling faces.

Welcome to the FB page of Undercover Festival and the other events we put on.

Undercover Festival has had a nomadic existence since we first started in Bisley Surrey in 2013 for 3 years, then via Brighton for a year, Margate was for a couple of years, then 2019 we upped sticks to Tufnell Park London and for September 2019 we moved to The Fiery Bird Venue Woking the general area we started in, and March 2020 we are moving back to Woking for our final ever Undercover Festival, yes all things must come to an end and there will be no more Undercovers after 2020.
