And that’s a wrap.. last 2 trucks of the summer season tipped by our warehouse team this morning.. We started way back at the beginning of May with Land Beyond in Brighton and finished with a quick skirmish to Cardiff with Kisstory. Thank you to all of our staff, freelancers, event partners and suppliers for all their efforts over what has been a fantastic summer season 👏🏼💪🏼

We had a sudden realisation that we’d not posted anything of what we’ve been up to since the beginning of July!
Needless to say we’ve been extremely busy supporting our clients over the last couple of months. A massive thank you to all our staff, partners and suppliers for keeping us running in the right direction 👏🏼.

What a difference 48 hours makes.. On Saturday night we were raving with Ibiza Proms on Hove Lawns, our fantastic team have then stripped, transported and rebuilt our MR2K and Layher stage system in the grounds of the historic Rochester Castle ready for the Rochester Castle Live series of concerts. A huge effort from the whole team and thanks to our logistics partner Brighton Carriers for doing the heavy lifting 💪🏼

Great day yesterday supporting Eastbourne College with their singer/songwriter showcase and jazz band gig at Eastbourne Bandstand. As usual we supplied a lighting package and all sound production for the gig with the mighty Martin Audio Ltd Torus8 flexing its muscles over SXC118 subs. Control from our ChamSys MQ250 and Roland Professional A/V M5000C.
After a couple of years of unfavourable conditions the weather was glorious and it was a fantastic evening 🙂☀️

It’s the battle of the arch’s this weekend as both of our MR1 systems are out and about. The 8x6 is on the Level in Brighton with our friends Penguin Media Hire whilst the 6x4 has travelled to Ibstock Place School in south west London where we’re also providing technical provision for their end of term concert. The 7x5m inflatable arch is even getting some love tomorrow for Seaford Motorfest.

Festival season continued this weekend as the team and 3 artics travelled north & east to Earlham Park in Norwich for KISSTORY and Uptown Festivals. This was second full outing for our MR2K stage and LSG0 screen support systems, all on main stage duties.
We then provided full technical production management for the shows as well as cross site power distribution.
A massive thank you to our team on the ground for all the hard work as well as our technical production partner Penguin Media Hire and Energy Management Solutions for supplying the additional generators for the Main Stage.

We’re really happy to reveal our latest weapon in the SEL arsenal.. Our brand new Milos MR2K 12x10m stage roof on a Layher Event stage system.

After being hindered by trucking delays coupled with wind and torrential rain we’ve completed our test build of the system before it goes straight out to our first festival of the season next week.

As ever a massive thank you to Dave, Pat and the entire team at Area Four Industries for their outstanding service and support.
Thanks as well to Mark and Chrissy from Chiddingly jazz blues rock and beer festival for lending us their site for the build

The last couple of weeks has involved a fair bit of venue support with us suppling an Accessible Viewing platform in the newly refurbished Corn Exchange within the Brighton Dome complex as well as pit barrier for the Winter Gardens in Eastbourne as they welcomed OMD and the Kaiser Chiefs.

A new year brings new toys that we’re really happy to have added to our stock and we’re going to be showcasing them and a few of our other newer products over the next few weeks.
Firstly we’ve expanded our ChamSys lighting control stock with the arrival of a MQ250M Stadium Console.
We’ve also started to upgrade our communications division with the arrival of the first batch of Hytera BD615 radios, these rugged digital handsets are IP66 rated and are able to operate on both analogue & digital channels.

2023 has been a fantastic year and we are extremely proud to have been involved with so many amazing projects throughout the year.
The 2024 diary is already filling up so we are really excited for what’s to come next year.
We would like to thank all of our extremely hard working staff and freelancers for all their efforts throughout the year. To our suppliers, industry partners and friends, thank you for your support and to our clients for giving us the opportunity to create some truly magical events and shows.
We’ll be back in the office on the 2nd of January
