It starts! The first batch of Christmas lunches has been prepared! With over 200 people booked for lunches & festive teas, as well as three birthday parties, it's a busy season!🌲

We close for a week from the 22nd, so it won't be all work work work! 🥂👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

A celebration of life for a neighbour today. The menu included my spanakopita spring rolls & lemon drizzle cake! What a weekend! The sofa calls now before we start on the massive Christmas cooking season tomorrow! 🎄

I can't think of a better way to celebrate our last 2024 wedding! A fully vegan Indian buffet at the gorgeous Trading Boundaries! The menu included my popular sweet potato curry, vegetable pakoras, samosas, curry puffs, potato balls, spiced sweet potato fritters, seekh balls, spiced tofu kebabs & chapatis - all homemade! Well done team & Tyler for painstakingly rolling out 80 chapatis - he wore more gram flour than was in the bread 😂. I felt a real connection to my Indian heritage making all this - I need to do it more! Congratulations M&M! 🐘

We are looking forward to hosting Michele & Michael’s wedding on Saturday 30th November. It’s going to be a gorgeous winter wedding inside our magical venue! 🥂

It does mean the shop, gallery and cafe are CLOSED on Saturday BUT we are open from 10am on Sunday!

More business lunches for another 44 over the last 2 days, with 16 more tomorrow! Chicken satay, pesto cheese straws & rocket, parmesan & lemon salad with balsamic were included today. Also tomorrow, we're preparing our last wedding of the year - an all Indian, vegan buffet! Lots of gram flour delivered today for all the samosa making!

So last night we attended the south east regional finals of The Wedding Industry Awards! Alas, we didn't win, but we had a cracking night 🥂🥳! Congratulations to all the winners - I'm proud to have been a finalist, considering I would never have thought to enter if I hadn't been nominated! A special thank you to my pal Stuart of 847847 TAXIS who surprised me with his chauffeured 7 Series & thank you Nik for the smooth journey! We felt like prom queens! What a way to celebrate 10 years of BTF! ❤️

A small Aspen lunch for 4 before another 60 through the week! Last wedding of the year this weekend, then Christmas mayhem! I'm not taking any more bookings for 2024!

A 15 hour day yesterday with an order for a vegan chilli for 25, a gf birthday cake, a chef shift at the café, 17 afternoon teas, then a dinner party for a 40th at Merrieweathers, where the menu included brie & asparagus tart, field mushroom with goat's cheese & red onion marmalade, chicken liver pate & homemade chutney, lamb shanks, sea bass with chorizo mash, blue cheese cheesecake with poached pear (OMG! 😋), profiteroles & crumble! Thanks to Bert, the roads were precarious & I turned up looking like Wurzel Gummidge, but hey ho, mission accomplished!

I think I was sleep cooking this morning! One of my long time loyal followers is celebrating her granddaughter's christening today so this buffet has been delivered to Hellingly Community Hub! From scones & satay for the adults to sparklers & fruit skewers for the kids, there's plenty to go around!

Now I don't have a full day off until I close for Christmas 🤦‍♀️(my fault, I know 🤣), so bear with me. I will get back to everyone ASAP between naps & snacks! Enjoy this glorious sunshine! ☀️
