So why are a bouquet of roses the most classic and enduring symbol of romance?

According to Greek Mythology, the red rose was created by Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love. In Roman Mythology the rose was a symbol of love and beauty associated with the goddess Venus, as well as a symbol of secrecy encouraged by Cupid. The myths continue to the Virgin Mary in The Garden of Eden, garden cultivation in the Eastern World to Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. We all remember in The Beauty and The Beast, a single red rose sheds petals until the beast can learn to love another and be loved in return🥀

We close off the festive season and 2024 with a truly stunning and very special memorial wreath for a much loved wife and mother…..

The brief was classy and Christmassy - to inc amaryllis. This beautiful piece includes Nicole roses, rocky road hypericum, skimmia rubella, berried ivy, eucalyptus, mimosa foliage, variegated berried holly, spray roses, cones and pen*setum - with some flexi grass to create a little movement🌹
