We absolutely loved creating this custom look for Jenny who knew she wanted something so minimalist but that also needed a touch of WOW!
We think she nailed this by choosing to have an illusion back added into the normally fully lined dress. Not only that but the finishing touch was her idea to add floor length pearl buttons.

Different types of neckline in wedding dresses:

As always during your bridal appointment our stylists will try to give you as much information as possible to help you define your personal bridal style. This includes exploring not only different dress silhouettes but also colours, embellishments and of course necklines.

Your chosen neckline can reveal a lot about your personal style, confidence, and how you wish to be perceived. While fashion is deeply individual, certain necklines often express distinct qualities or attitudes, whether it's a preference for elegance, simplicity, or boldness.

As with all things when it comes to wedding dress shopping you often find that what you "think" you would go for is the total opposite to what you say "yes" to.

For example our owner and head designer Becki said "I have always had a fuller bust and often assumed that when it came to trying on wedding dresses I would want something covered up showing as little cleavage as possible. However actually when I am designing and trying different options I find that the V-plunge style is super flattering and makes me feel confident in my shape without worrying that I am going to "give the game away" so to speak!"

On the flip side we often have brides with smaller bust commenting on not being able to "fill out" a sweetheart neckline when actually after trying they love the way it looks.

You also have to remember a neckline isn't just to do with your bust size it also has an impact on shoulders, décolletage and obviously the neck. Certain necklines can broaden the shoulder line, others elongate the neck.

We hope this hasn't overwhelmed you because navigating all these choices is what your stylist is there for. We will ensure you find the perfect neckline that not only frames your face but also highlights your features and sets the tone for your entire bridal look.

Here are our top tips for newly engaged brides:

1. Celebrate the Moment
- Take time to celebrate the engagement with your partner and loved ones. This is a special time—don’t rush into planning just yet!

2. Set a Budget Early
- Establish your wedding budget as soon as possible. Too many brides are coming through with no idea on budget then deciding too late after they have fallen in love with the dress that it is over budget and this always ends in disappointment!

3. Create a Wedding Timeline
- Plan ahead by creating a timeline for your wedding. This will help you prioritize tasks like finding your venue, booking vendors, and ordering your wedding dress, so nothing slips through the cracks.

4. Start With the Venue
- Book your venue as soon as possible—it’s one of the most important decisions. The venue will set the tone for your entire day.
