Well done to pupils in Debut Winds and Saturday Winds, who performed in our ensembles concert in July. There were opportunities for the children to perform solos as well. Valley Strings are rehearsing tonight at Riverside Junior School in Hebden Bridge. They took on the challenge of playing "In The Hall Of The Mountain King" in summer and did an amazing job! We have availability for piano lessons at The Old Courthouse! Suitable for ages 5 and up, the piano is one of the most popular instruments amongst our students at Calderdale Music. We love seeing and hearing about our Music Leaders performing in bands and groups. Here is Mark Wheeler with the GT Big Band showing off his improvising skills on clarinet! Meanwhile, whilst Saturday Rocks are busy raising the roof with some tunes, our Funk & Soul Band are now busy working on their improvisation skills. Here's one of our students improvising in our last concert in "C Soul Jam" If you are a school age student in Y9 or above and fancy the challenge of learning new skills and soloing with a band like this, why not come along for a session? We don't do "quiet" on Saturday mornings at Calderdale Music! Saturday Rocks are upstairs rehearsing for their next gig and we can't wait to hear what they're going to do next. Here's some snippets of their performance in July - well done everyone!
