I’ve loved making this beautiful satin top to match this strapless gown. When you fall in love with the gown but you need to have cover, a pop over, or topper is the perfect solution.

Here we’ve attached the new top to stop any movement, so now it’s part of the dress. Finished with delicate matching satin cover buttons on the back and cuffs 😍

The most elegant of bridal looks!

Releasing a bodice….

Often (but not always), bridal gowns have a generous seam allowance to enable us to release them.

Here we’ve managed to get a full dress size out of bodice, then filled the gap with matching lace ❤️

Just a little hole…..

Unfortunately sometimes things just get a little carried away and your beautiful gown pays the price! Antonia has very carefully mended the tear and used the natural design of the fabric to cover the area ❤️

Now she’s all cleaned and boxed up and ready to go home!

Loved working on this gorgeous, satin gown last week! So much skirt and train hemming her felt like it went on forever but I got there in the end!

If you ever see black marks like this on your gown at your fitting or durning the alterations process, have no fear! It’s an amazing way for us to be able to mark your gowns without the worry that the pins might click the fabric, and then with a little heat, just like that it disappears!

When you’re absolutely stacked out at work but you have a personal project going on the side!

I’ve had this bridal bodice for 5years…not really known what to do with it, but with bottomless brunch calling at the weekend I decided it was the perfect time to adapt it!

It’s been sat next to the sewing machine for weeks always put back to the bottom of the list as other priorities pop up, but not today! Today I shortened it, reshaped the bottom and changed the fastening from a zip to an eyelet back. Can’t wait to get to lace sewn back on tomorrow 😍

Here are three of our top tips with regards to finding the right bra/knickers for your big day 🥰👏🏻

✨Once your first dress fitting appointment is on the horizon it’s time to go for a bra fitting 👏🏻👏🏻
It’s super important that you wear a correctly fitting bra to your alteration appointments. The lift that a correctly fitting bra gives in comparison to an ill fitting bra is HUGE. If you don’t wear the right size bra it can alter the overall appearance of the dress!

✨ For your big day we generally recommend practical underwear! 👏🏻👏🏻
You need a bra that gives the best support and shape possible (without any lines under the dress etc) sometimes this isn’t always the prettiest bra BUT it’s the most functional and will look the best under your dress, it’s a long day and we want you to be comfortable for the duration. . . Save the super sexy stuff for the honeymoon 😉😉😉😉
