Waking up this morning to hear our beautiful Sycamore tree from Sycamore Gap is no more.

Its a dark day here in Northumberland, this majestic tree stood for hundreds of years and holds a place in many peoples hearts for so many different reasons.

A place to find peace, reflect, visit loved ones who's ashes were scattered here, family picnics, and a million selfies.

She was more than just a part of our landscape. She was a part of our shared history, and many who visited said they felt the magic as they stood beneath the beautiful towering giant.

A gap is all we have for now and a gap in our hearts she leaves.
