Confirmation from Scot Gov officials just now that weddings & funerals are exempt from additional measures which were announced yesterday. A few key points below...
There is no limit on numbers of household groups at tables.
Bar service can take place.
Dancing can continue.
There are no social distancing requirements.
There are no caps on numbers at weddings.
Canape & drinks receptions allowed.

Venues still have a legal obligation to reduce crowding.

As the current hospitality restrictions are only planned for a 3 week period, ministers deemed it disproportionate to restrict weddings, which would have a detrimental impact on events which had been planned for a long time.
Registration offices may still impose their own restrictions.
We are delighted with this outcome, but as always, we encourage everyone in our sector to take all possible precautions and follow baseline measures.
