Congratulations to the Sam and Scott on their marriage! Sam wins my "most organised bride of the decade" award! As well as being amazingly creative. Her attention to detail, having handmade so many of the finishing touches to her venue was so impressive. And the couple kindly gifted a number of these beauties to our Barn of Curiosities, meaning other Rookery Meadow brides and grooms can benefit from them too. Such kindness. Wedding season is here! The meadow is primed and glowing in all its natural glory. The buttercups shimmer in the sun, the lake glistens and ripples with the breeze, the grass is a luscious fresh green and the birds are singing. We've been quiet for a while on socials, but we are still here! Thank you to everyone who has continued to follow and find us. 😍

So where have we been? Well we've been busy right here on the farm, enjoying sharing the meadow and focussing our time and energies on our super couples and glampers.

The last few years have been a reminder that seeing people face-to-face is such an important and special thing that we have decided to spend more time in the 'real world' than the virtual.

We'll still share gorgeous glimpses of beautiful blank canvas weddings and chilled glamping vibes, along with any news, but in the main we'll be enjoying the outdoors and cups of tea with future couples at our farmhouse kitchen table.

We've no doubt you'll understand and hope you too are enjoying the company of nature, loved ones and friends. 🌹🌳❤️

Last night marked the end of the 2022 summer season for Rookery Meadow. It has been a blast!

We are so lucky to have met so many wonderful people and help them create lifelong memories from their amazing creations in our special space.

Yesterday was no exception and James and Alice closed our season with an incredible festival wedding that yet again blew us away. Congratulations Mr and Mrs P!

Thank you everyone who joined us at Rookery Meadow this year as part of the bridal party, guest list or behind the scenes as suppliers making couples' dreams come true. We love you all. Now roll on 2023!

Last week's set up at Rookery Meadow was so gorgeous and unique (it's the first time we have had four tipis in the meadow looking out the lake and old oak tree) that we had to share this little tour of the venue the night before the big day. Our couple chose to use the two-acre main meadow area to house their event structure, with the lake reserved for hand-crafted outdoor games and relaxing lakeside walks. A sneaky-peak at a marquee wedding set up the evening before the big day. One of the things we were determined to do when creating Rookery Meadow was to give couples plenty of time to enjoy brining their wedding vision to life. Having all of Friday to prepare the venue means set up is (almost!) as fun as the wedding day itself. Rookery Meadow is a secluded outdoor wedding venue nestled in the heart of the countryside. Located on the borders of Norfolk and Suffolk, you will find us just six miles from the market towns of Halesworth, Bungay and Harleston.

Our vision was to create a unique wedding venue in a rustic, natural environment, to give you the perfect setting for an outdoor wedding or festival style wedding. At Rookery Meadow you have the freedom to do things your way. Unlike most venues, you will not be restricted by packages, instead everything is under your complete control… and we are a venue with no corkage! Choose from a traditional marquee or tipi, enjoy a three course meal, opt for wedding street food, or why not have afternoon tea or a picnic for a wedding breakfast.

We can help you choose from some great local suppliers for everything you need, plus, we’ll be on hand to help you create and run your big day so that you can relax and enjoy your creation.

With a nine acre meadow, two acre lake, row boat and jetty, plus a separate car park and room to camp, there is plenty of space to celebrate. You can also enjoy exclusive use for at least three days.
