I have been in the industry as a Professional DJ for many years, doing mobile discos from a very early age, doing my apprenticeship with some of the biggest mobile DJ’s in Essex, then finally venturing out on my own when I was older enough to drive myself to gigs. After a few years of having a very successful business as a Mobile DJ, I got noticed in the Prince of Wales pub (South Ockendon) where
I was the resident DJ on a Sunday Night, and was invited to audition at Dukes nightclub (Chelmsford) which was part of TOTS (Southend) P’Zaz (Grays) to become a back up DJ to cover for the main DJ’s if they were on holiday, sickness etc. I must have made a good impression, as after a short while of being the back up DJ I was given the opportunity to become P’Zaz main DJ and support other nights in Dukes and TOTS. After working with these Massive nightclubs at the time, I was approached to become the Entertainments Manager and Resident DJ at a brand new nightclub that was opening in Chelmsford (Club Zeus). I was the main DJ on 5 nights a week all totally different styles to the nights including Student nights, over 29’s, Party Nights, Club Classic nights and a night where I played every genre of music, something for everyone…. I have continued over the years to keep my music collection up to date and transferred many classic vinyl tracks to digital so I can cater for everyone’s needs and entertain any crowd with all types of music to make your parties unique to your requirements. Since I semi retired from being a resident DJ, I have always continued to make guest appearances at many venues all over Essex and London and even put on very successful Club Zeus reunions at Evoke (Chelmsford) over the past 5 years. After being invited to many weddings, parties and events I get asked if I would come out of mobile retirement as the biggest complaint I hear from people is the DJ was not great and wish they had seriously thought about the DJ to make the special event one that will be talked about for a long time after it had passed. To be honest with you, I got married 8 years ago and my wife said to me if there was one thing she would have changed from our wedding day it would have been the DJ as he was not great!!! You would think being in the industry I would have known better, I will never live that one down.
