Today marks the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings and our D80 flag is flying.
On this day 80 years ago over 150,000 brave soldiers launched the largest seaborne invasion in history that marked the beginning of the liberation of western Europe.

Today marks the seventh anniversary of the Manchester Arena bombing in 2017. Our thoughts are with those who have been and continue to be affected.
Seven years later, the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill, also known as Martyn's Law, is awaiting its passage through parliament and it is hoped that it will come into effect this year.
We all have a role to play in keeping each other safe. We are working with Counter Terrorism Policing and supporting their campaign to encourage the public to stay alert and report anything that doesn’t feel right to security.
Your safety is our priority and that’s why we regularly review our crowd management arrangements and also all our security measures.
You can play your part by trusting your instincts, and if you see something that doesn’t feel right, tell security. Our teams will take every report seriously. You won’t be wasting their time.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re supporting the Mental Health Foundation to get everyone moving more for their mental health.
Everyone can get the mental health benefits of moving more, it’s all about finding what works for you. On a busy day like today at #HCC, a walk around the block may just be the the breather you needed. It only took 12 minutes and we feel refreshed and energised.
