Confirmed attendance James Green GRA
James was born in 1974, today he works as a full time professional artist from his studio w in the market town of Whittlesey near Peterborough.
James initially trained as a technical illustrator as the industry moved away from traditional drawing to computers. Not wishing to embrace this new medium James decided to turn to fine art and quickly established himself a high reputation as a realist artist.
As well as his outstanding landscapes his railway paintings have earned him a place as a full member of The Guild of Railway Artists. His preferred medium is acrylic ink and gouache applied mainly with a small paint brush but he also actively uses an airbrush in his paintings, this unique mix of paint application gives his artwork a hyperrealism feel.

A warm welcome awaits on The Leeds Society of Model and Experimental Engineers Stand at Harrogate

A society of enthusiasts who build engineering models with the emphasis on railway locomotives and running a railway.

Leeds Society of Model and Experimental Engineers was formed in Leeds in 1935 and has links to the first such society established in the city in 1899. Members have a wide range of interests relating to steam engines both railway, traction and stationary types, clocks, internal combustion engines and engineering processes in general. For many years the Society operated a miniature railway in the grounds of Temple Newsam House then relocating to the grounds of Eggborough Power Station in 1978. At present the Eggborough site is being redeveloped and the club are working with the developer to relocate the miniature railway elsewhere on the same site.
