Cakes delivered last weekend. Happy birthday, James - a Minecraft cake I was asked to copy. Thank you, Judy, for the lovely feedback on the popular raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake. "The cake was delicious and everyone enjoyed it - I served it with fresh strawberries. I’m sure I will be getting in touch again". Looking forward to providing a buffet for a corporate event later this week.

With my 'maths hat on' - June/July has been a busy month marking maths GCSE and A Level papers for a global examining board. Julie D Catering is now back in action - catering for all occasions: Quality ingredients, affordable prices, tailored to your needs. I've also had a busy spell providing cakes. Popular choices have been small 4"rounds - perfect for 2 at £4, sugary crusted lemon drizzle loaf cake £7, 8" rich chocolate ganache with blackcurrant and fresh cream £12 and the decadent indulgent 8" round raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake. "What a fabulous buffet. It went down a storm and perfect quantity for the number of guests. Everyone said it was delicious and the only thing left was half a pork pie which we finished over the weekend!" (£10 per head for 75 people delivered to in the centre of Harrogate - a fantastic versatile venue). Happy birthday Judy.

It's been a busy week, starting with a lovely and helpful visit from the Environmental agency for both myself and Bilton Area Methodist Church , followed by an afternoon of designing sandwich fillings suitable to serve alongside canapés, ready for a forthcoming birthday celebrity event at St Robert's Club (sandwich fillings are: smoked salmon cream cheese and cream fraiche infused with lemon and pepper, cucumber and mixed leaves, 3bean, lime, red pepper and pickled cucumber, cream cheese, garlic & herbs with asparagus, roasted pepper and black olives with mixed greens, cream cheese, salami, pickled cucumber) Harrogate Sewing Hub

January has been busy for Julie D Catering with a wedding buffet at The Knox ,a post Christmas celebration for Homes Together at Harrogate Railway Sports and Social Club and some memorial buffets. Of course, there is the usual voluntary work providing post match food for Harrogate Railway footballers - Harrogate Railway Athletic FC and Harrogate Railway Ladies Football Team along with fortnightly lunch clubs for the elderly Bilton Area Methodist Church. February also looks busy with a children's birthday party, a charity race night organised by Doc (Ian Docherty) in aid of Andys Man Club (new one just opening in Harrogate) and a 70th birthday celebration. A lovely day yesterday doing Christmas lunch for 41 for the Bilton WI. Two course lunch: Full Christmas dinner (turkey, stuffing, pigs in blankets, red cabbage, roast pots, honey roast parsnips, carrots, sprouts with chestnuts) followed by individual trifles. Need to work out a good way to transport trifles to avoid spillages! Reviews to be added. Bargain at £7.50 per head. . Prepared at Bilton Area Methodist Church and transported to Bilton Community Centre.
