I’m sure some of you might have noticed the great big sign outside of my lovely shop, I would just like to let everyone know that I have made the very difficult decision to close the shop and return to working from my home studio where I can be around more for my family and also focus on the weddings and events side of the business. We don’t yet have a final date, we have to wait until someone takes on the lease so for now please come in and treat yourself or someone special with some lovely flowers, we are still open and would love to see all of our amazing customers!!

This weeks Free Flower Friday goes to the lovely Diane from Knitting Pretty!! Diane has organised over 1000 baby hats for the Harrogate Maternity unit (my son has one of these lovely hats and it’s something I will always treasure) as well as hats for vulnerable people at risk of hypothermia, twiddle muffs for people with hypothermia and bereavement blankets. Diane makes herself available for her customers for more than just the purpose of her business. She knows what knitting and crochet can give to people in terms of their mental health and regardless of whether you buy wool or not she is a supportive, encoraging, honest and friendly. I’ve never actually known a shop where people just pop their head through the door to say a quick hello but that speaks volumes of Diane and her character... and the knit and natter group she has created is such a wonderful safe space for people to go, enjoy a coffee and chat with like minded people (all whilst supporting another small local business... The Lavendar Tea Rooms)

It was such a difficult decision to choose this week as so many amazing people were nominated so please do nominate again for next weeks Free Flowers Friday!!
