The Brownlee Olympic Wedding……It was such a pleasure to help Jonny and Fi with their wedding. The day was filled with such energy, beautiful details and their very own nod to the Olympics of course!
Thank you to all the INCREDIBLE suppliers involved, such a dream team to work with. When I told them all the marquee was on top of a hill with limited access….not one moaned about it! ( well at least not in my earshot)

My initial consultation will cover all your wishes / wants / likes / dislikes / must haves / must not haves and so on…..from this we will build up a picture of your dream day so I can create mood boards and timelines to suit your style and budget.
I have planned marquee weddings at private homes for 22 years now, I have even built some of the marquees to ensure I know how they work, what to do in all eventualities ( don’t mention the wind!) and how best to locate your marquee for the best guest experience but also consider the sunset and suppliers access routes.
My meticulous planning ensures you, your family and all your guests will be able to relax, switch off and fully embrace your wedding day! No detail is left out.

LONDON WEDDINGS
As a planner based in the north of England, it’s great to get down to the big smoke and plan a wedding! ( Dare I say slightly more straight forward in a London venue / hotel than creating a marquee wedding! But I equally LOVE planning both styles of weddings.
This wedding started up north but for many reasons moved to the with just a few months to go.
Thinking out of the box and pushing venues to move away from a wedding blueprint is crucial to make your wedding different, unique and personal to you - this is so important when in a venue or hotel. Don’t just go for package A, B or C…..work with your space but really let your imagination run wild with your design ideas, timings and creativity.
We created a ‘Narnia’ feel to this wedding with the cloud of dry ice, twig trees and LOTS of candles. Adding a fabric partition meant we could shrink the room and make it cosier for the ceremony, plus hide all the dining tables and bar units until the change over time.The Ballroom was then transformed ( taking 1 hour 18 minutes) and all set ready for dinner!

WEEKEND WEDDINGS ( PART 2)
Once all the guests had emerged after their 4am bed time ….they got glammed up once again for the PARTY night at S-A & R’s weekend wedding celebrations. repurposed all of the incredible flowers, added a huge tree, some glitter balls and extra sparkly touches. This post wedding party was designed so guests could really let their hair down and go wild!
Thanks to .centre.stage for the amazing multi colour dance floor. for creating that disco vibe with all their gorgeous lighting,lasers and haze machines. .co.uk for his entertaining magic and the INSANE who filled that dance floor ALL night!

WEEKEND WEDDINGS ( PART 1)
The incredible wedding of S-A & R requires two parts to cover all the details and suppliers we included. Living in Jersey but wanting to get married back near their home town of Newcastle….they chose as their venue and hosted an exclusive use weekend for their 130 guests, and wow what a weekend it was!
Arriving on the Thursday, the guests enjoyed welcome drinks whilst we conducted a ceremony rehearsal - led by Sophie
TRANSFORMED the ceremony room into an elegant jungle vision with purples, greens, pinks and ….monkeys!
The guests enjoyed magic from singing waiters from Strings by An 8 piece choir from and evening late night entertainment from
Taking 8 months to plan from start to finish, we captured all of the couples visions, passions and desire to be a little quirky and different! We LOVE thinking out of the box…..wait until part 2!

WINTER WEDDINGS
Planning Winter weddings is always magical, the Christmas Trees, the fires all lit and the possibility of snow! D & P planned their wedding with a Black Tie dress code and a black and white theme which looked stunning inside
As always having a great team of suppliers is crucial to any wedding BUT in the Winter months it’s even more important to choose suppliers that have their own back up plans for any bad weather we may encounter, possibly choosing suppliers who are more local and will allow more time to get to the venue. Also consider supplier swap can work with the shorter daylight hours.
were amazing when I suggested we stood them outside with their LIGHT UP instruments for guests to enjoy their music as they walked across for dinner ( thank you again for not looking freezing and playing so beautifully)

Can’t find the right venue? ….Why not get married at home…..legally!
When my clients came to me telling me they had searched high and low for that PERFECT venue but just couldn’t find the right place; some venues had strict suppliers you had to use, others had too early a curfew or restricted access times and some were more of a wedding factory! So I suggested they got MARRIED at HOME!
After a few calls to the Superintendent Registrar, we were in the process….then about 3 months later we were a legal venue!
J & S were married under the canopy of their swimming pool Summer house ( we boarded over the pool) and then held their reception in a fabulous marquee in their garden.
I LOVE planning weddings in marquees at home, as you really can have it EXACTLY the way you want it.
Although it can be stressful UNLESS you have a Wedding Planner ( me). There’s LOTS more to think about:
Guest car parking
Supplier access route
Security
Bad weather back up plan
Lighting
Heating
Your garden
Your neighbours!
Post wedding party
De-rig
The list goes on and on…
……BUT that’s why you have me…..I ALWAYS think three steps ahead and plan for every eventuality so you don’t have to!

AUTUMNAL vibes……Marquee weddings can be all year round…they just take a few more logistics with the unpredictable weather!
What you DON’T see from any of these photos is the mountain of trackway we had to put in place so all suppliers could access the marquee, the heaters cleverly hidden under the marquee lining so all the guests stayed toasty and the endless amounts of blue shoe covers so that NOBODY brought mud into the marquee before the guests arrived!
What you DO SEE is the gorgeous colour palette you can work with in your designs, from the gorgeous cake to all your stationery, plus the INCREDIBLE images you will get with that low Autumnal sunshine.

Looking for something a little DIFFERENT at your party….. will have what you’re looking for. Adding a living statue or stilt walkers, a ballerina or a crystal manipulator ( to name but a few),just adds a little ‘je ne sais quoi’ or magic sparkle to your event.
Thank you to all the performers at Mat’s party, you were all fabulous and kept very straight faces ( living statues) when faced with some amusing questions!

THANK YOU Jonny & Fi to asking me to help with your Wedding Planning. I absolutely LOVED the colour palette for the gorgeous Yorkshire countryside.
Helping J & F with their planning was no small challenge with busy work and training schedules, sometimes having Zoom calls when they were abroad, on bike rides or in swimming pools, but we got there and they had the most beautiful wedding day surrounded by their closest friends and family.
