"What can we actually say?! We are lost for words. What a place and what a team.
We had the most beautiful wedding day at the Old Swan Hotel and we are so so grateful to Elisha and the team for making our dreams come true.
Right from the start, I told Elisha I was really nervous about it all because I'm not much of a wedding person... never really had a clear picture in my head of what I wanted or what logistically needed to be done. She supported and guided us so much in such a kind and attentive manner. I couldn't recommend the Old Swan enough, but I also Elisha as a person too. Every single question we had was answered so thoroughly.
One of my main worries was Dad walking me down the aisle. He had a stroke a while ago and struggles with balance and fatigue. We desperately needed him to be able to go for a sleep before attempting to walk down the aisle and Elisha ensured that not only would she try her best to get him an early check in to make this happen, but she also set up a quiet side room for him if he became a bit overwhelmed and needed a space to collect himself. That was so touching and just so caring... it made me quite emotional that she'd think of this for him.
We had so much fun, and are forever grateful that we chose The Old Swan to capture our wedding memories. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for ensuring our special day was perfect."

"From the very first time myself and my partner walked into the Old Swan to enquire about a wedding, we were blown away. The gentleman on reception couldn't have been any more helpful, despite him advising us that he wasn't up to speed with wedding queries. He showed us to the ballroom and let us have a look around and then passed our details on to the wedding coordinator, Elisha.

Elisha was incredible from the get go. From being responsive to any emails to going above and beyond to ensure our wedding day was everything we had asked for. I instantly clicked with her and when I realised how organised she was, this put everything at ease for me. If she needed to gather more information about something she would get back to us as promised. I really believe that the one of the main reasons why we were both so calm on the lead up to the wedding and the day itself is thanks to Elisha, her work ethic and her caring manner. Everything ran so smoothly on the day and we couldn't have asked for anything more.

Additionally the hotel staff in general were extremely helpful to all our guests, especially to those guests staying at the hotel. The staff provided a great service at breakfast too. We really appreciated that the staff reserved a section of the restaurant for us and our guests. We also requested a master of ceremonies for announcing the speeches and order of the day etc. Thomas was great at making sure the time frame was kept to and was welcoming and friendly to all the guests.

I booked the bridal suite the night before the wedding and this added an extra special moment for me and the bridesmaid getting ready the morning of the wedding. The suite was beautiful and very spacious. The dining area was a perfect set up for hair and makeup for 7 giddy ladies! We were able to have our breakfast delivered to the room and the staff were great at ensuring we had enough of everything and then clearing away dirty plates before the photographer arrived. Additionally, the room was made up and cleaned ready for the night of the wedding.

The whole day was truly magical and I would 100% recommend booking the venue for a wedding. Both the internal and external of the hotel was perfect for the photos. We were very lucky to have a dry day, despite it being the end of October! Our photos of the confetti throw outside are stunning. The photographer also captured some photos in front of the building and the autumnal colours matched perfectly with our colour theme.

Thank you to the whole team at the Old Swan and a very special shout out to Elisha. We already can't wait to book in for our Anniversary."

From its revolving doors to its famous glass-ceilinged Wedgwood Restaurant, the hotel exudes romance and mystery. It was to The Old Swan that Agatha Christie famously disappeared in 1926, resulting in a public furore over the 11 days that she could not be traced.

Eleven days after her disappearance, Christie was identified as a guest at the Swan Hydropathic Hotel (as the Old Swan was then called) in Harrogate, where she was registered (strangely!) as ‘Mrs Teresa Neele’ from Cape Town.
