Apologies to all the eager customers who tried coming into the cafe yesterday while I was having a good sort out, fighting your way past a trail of xmas trees and catering equipment just to find we where closed 🫣 we are back open for business on Monday the 6th January, hope to see you all then! So today me and Jade have spent the day delivering xmas hampers and frozen meals to keep the elderly, vulnerable or lonely members of our community fed over the xmas period while we are closed, and possibly even more importantly to let them know that we are thinking of them 💚 i cannot express how great full and humbled we are for the support from you all, and how unbelievably proud i am of us for creating our own Community Interest Company and business that makes this all possible! A huge thankyou to every single one of our customers, and our amazing staff and volunteers, we couldn't do it without you 😘 we are already planning ways to reach even more vunerable people next year and hopefully make a bigger difference 🙏
We are open tomorrow 9-3 if you want to pop down for one last famous fry up before Xmas, if not we will see you all on the 6th January when we return.

Super proud of our little team after Saturdays event, we served over 140 plates of roast beef with all the trimmings, salmon on croute or cheese and leek parcels for any non meat eaters, followed by handmade caramel cheesecakes, then cheeseboards to finish 😋😴🎄

Just to make everyone aware, incase of any confusion or concern, we are not, and have never been in any way connected to the Harwich Mayflower Project, that project ended years ago, long before we moved to the site. We have spent 2 years working voluntarily to build a reputable business and charity to feed people in the community, and do not need or deserve to be tarred with an unrelated brush. Thankyou 💚

Apologies for lack of recent posts, the cafe has been super busy, we have lots of events on, I'm currently in the middle of moving house, business partner is on annual leave, and have been studying for my diploma (which i've passed at 100% so now hold a level 3 diploma in food hygiene, safety, HACCP and allergens 💪) back to flooding your feeds with posts and photos next week I promise 😅 thanks for all your continued support and understanding 💚 here's a few of the Home baked treats we have in the cafe this week 😋
