The Hen-House is a soft play cafe designed for ages 0-8, with dedicated baby, toddler and soft play Come and see us! We cater for children aged 0-9.

The Hen-House is a soft play café, also offering before and after school care, in Haslemere. We are situated next to Fired Earth, behind the Waitrose carpark. We want to create an environment that appeals to both parents and children. The children are entertained in a clean and fun place, whilst parents can relax, knowing that their children are safe. It serves great coffee and homemade food, usin

g eggs from Henri’s own flock of chickens. There is a dedicated baby zone, as well as a double height soft play frame for older children. Toddlers have ‘The Alley’ which is a ‘street’ complete with a supermarket, café, workshop, and car park. There is also a party room, complete with LED disco floor, which can be hired out for parties. The party room holds a variety of classes every morning during term time and the holidays. Aside from the soft play, the focus of the café is on healthy children’s food, but we serve lunch for grown-ups too. Where possible the eggs come from Henri’s flock of 20 chickens. The eggs have been certified by the Egg Inspectorate, and are utterly delicious, and the chickens are totally free range. After school meal deal
The after school ‘meal deal’ is available from 330pm. The meal deal includes entry until closing time and a meal. There are takeaway options available for older siblings with later school pick up times. Breakfast Club
‘Breakfast club’ is designed for Dads (or Mums) to actually be able to relax and enjoy their weekend mornings, whilst entertaining the children. The ‘breakfast club' deal is available from 9am-11am on weekends. Included in the price is entry for one child (until 11am), a full breakfast, free flow tea/coffee of your choice, and a newspaper of your choice. Please book in advance so we can organise your newspaper order and make sure we have enough eggs (…and bacon, and sausages, and black pudding, and vine tomatoes, and hash browns, and beans, and mushrooms)

Simply the best parties ever….
…for both children and adults! Our aim is to take all the hassle out of organising your child’s party, allowing you to actually enjoy it! The base party includes entry and use of the soft play equipment, private use of the party room with disco, sandwiches and a cake. Our online booking system allows you to choose ‘add ons’ and customise your own party, allowing you to give it a more individual feel.

New year, new job?

If you've been thinking about switching jobs or getting back into the workforce, we'd love to tell you about a couple of openings we have at The Hen House within our childcare division.

The Hen House continues to grow and because of this we're looking for more brilliant local childcare professionals to come on board.

We're currently recruiting for a Childcare Supervisor and a couple of Assistants at a range of locations within our after-school clubs.
The locations stretch from Farnham to Godalming. If you live locally and would be interested in knowing more, please drop us a DM or email [email protected].

We also have apprenticeship opportunities where you can train for your Level 2 or 3 in Childcare alongside working with us.

All training will be provided. A new DBS certificate will be needed as well as two solid references.
Necessary experience will vary for the two positions.
Driving is essential due to the rural locations.

It'll take place from The Hen House soft play. A location familiar to many of your children and set up to care for and entertain young children.

MoreOur childcare team has been busy studying for early years qualifications so that they can provide top quality childcare alongside the support and direction from our experienced Childcare Management Team, Catherine and Becca.

Introducing the newest member of our team, Becca!

As our wraparound and childcare division grows, so does the need for more brilliant, caring and dedicated members of staff. Becca will primarily be supporting Catherine, our Childcare Manager, but will also be working closely with the wider childcare team. Becca comes to us with a wealth of childcare experience that is going to be invaluable to our team and to our services.

You may have heard that we're introducing a summer camp just for pre-schoolers (3 and 4 year olds) and Becca will be brining her knowledge and energy to ensure this project offers the best quality of childcare and delivers an enriching and fun experience for the children.

We have many more announcements and exciting projects in the pipeline for 2025. I want to tell you all about it now, but it is not the time!! 🤐

I started this year really overwhelmed and I'm finshing it feeling grateful and proud. This year I wanted to push outside my comfort zones, learn as much I could, meet new people, feel inspired, be the best mum I could be and channel energy into friendships I had neglected. I didn't quite accomplish all of these things but I gave them all a good crack and I'm happy with that. I've written my goals for 2025 and they're a little daunting again but if i'm sat here next year feeling proud, grateful and happy all over agian then the struggle will be worth it! Hope you've all had a magical time with loved ones. Thank you for everyone who has supported The Hen House this year. You've all given me so much energy and reignited my passion in my business.
