Maybe sometimes the photos you don’t spend ages over are the best? The sun hit these homegrown sweetpeas so nicely yesterday morning.

Nature’s ombré 🌱
Despite being only 15 miles away, my parents are winning the dahlia stakes. They have lots of flowers and buds whilst mine are trying to survive against slug and snail attacks 😂

Totally Tangerine Geums are flowering away 🧡 The Sweetpeas are slowly starting to bloom and most of my overwintered dahlias have survived the winter; happy days 💫

Throwback to these gorgeous summer blooms. Lately I’ve been a bit slow to post as it’s been all change here… little Tommy was born on 6th Feb and is settling in nicely to the HQ; he’ll be helping me with weddings in no time 😉😂
I’ve managed to sow some seeds and really can’t wait for some sunshine and dry weather! Surely no more rain?! 💫

A cracking day today, the sun is shining. I managed to get my hands on some “Cherry Caramel” phlox seeds today which, makes me happy as I couldn’t buy them at all last year. Simple pleasures…. 💫

A reminder in this freezing weather of what spring and summer can bring. I mulched over my dahlias last year and touch wood they’ve survived the minus temperatures.
What’s everyone growing this year? My top favs have to be cosmos, phlox and sweetpeas 💕

Lots of lovely ruffles. Whilst little man is at nursery this morning, I decided to start digging the front garden to make more room for flowers, only to discover a layer of hardcore rubble! Jobs always end of much bigger hey! The promise of flowery things to come keeps me going 😂🌷

The first flowers from the garden. A little reminder that Spring is here, despite what the weather is like, we had so much hail, wind and rain today! Bits and bobs are growing well in the garden and it’s a reminder that there will be lots of lovely flowers soon and some warm weather (fingers crossed) 💛

The dahlias are starting to sprout and, without sounding silly, I think it’s such an exciting thing to see. Part relief and part wonder at how a sweet potato tuber looking thing can come back to life. In this dreary weather, summer flowers feel so far away. But, in garden news, my hazel sweet pea teepees are up and when we get a mild spell I’ll be planting those out. Good things are on their way… 🌱

A little … This week I’ve finally managed to put in some wooden flower beds and I’ve started potting my dahlias up (in the evening as little one has been a bit under the weather, I know how to party 😂). I feel like I should be sowing more, does anyone else have itchy fingers?! 🌱🌻🪴

Little one is at nursery this morning so I was hoping to try and get on top of gardening but, the heavy snow has put a stop to that! Does anyone else feel like they have so little time and so much to do?!
I love the penstemon in this throwback bouquet, it’s called, “sour grapes” bit like how I feel 😂🍇
