Take a walk through the beautiful gardens and/or experience the culinary delights of One Kitchen , their amazing restaurant serving up local dishes inspired by the gardens.

With regular events, loads to do and see there’s something for everybody…. Plus four legged family members are very much welcome too 🐶

Kelly’s work hat is still off… emails are being monitored but only once or twice a day: replies WILL be slow!

The shop is now closed for the bank holiday too.

Please know we just need some chill time after a manic wedding season… we will be back recharged and ready to hit the ground running!

Kelly is now on annual leave until the 31st…. And although the shop will be running as normal in the very capable hands of Lisa and Claire; admin will be on hold (ish).

Emails will be monitored once a day (before any pina coladas) … after that the work hat comes off and the sun hat stays firmly on!

* replies may be slow… please be patient, we all deserve a break and time away with family.

Juliet will be working on a new and exciting project which will be revealed very soon.

… and although part of me just feels (similarly to international women’s day) that it should not HAVE to be a thing it’s still a glorious and colourful celebration of the LGBTQ movement.
So all in all I do bloody love it, I love what it stands for, I love the stories and triumphs behind it all…

But do remember ; As a society we have a long way to go to abolish discrimination against our lgbtq community but we are on the right road and my shop and my company will ALWAYS BE A SAFE SPACE FOR EVERY PERSON 🏳️‍🌈 🫶🏻

Temporary change of hours from August:

Our little shop is run by mums, dads and carers. So to ease the school holiday juggles we adopt slightly different hours during the week for the entire month in August:

MON-FRI 10-4 , SAT (stays the same) 9-2

As always we highly highly encourage preordering as we are very often to busy to make on the spot or even sold out of flower to even make with.

We don’t have to be open to order! We have a fabulously easy to use webshop on our website that pings orders straight to me whether the shop is open or not 💪🏻

But preordering is vital, especially during summer where we keep stock very low to avoid wastage.

Thanks again for your ongoing support… ever grateful to be fighting the high street battle with such an incredible army of customers and fellow shop keepers.

Absolutely no reason for this audio other than the fact that I adore this song…

The lyric was written about the mental pain that Hathaway, who was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, was experiencing at the time. Edward Howard (the song writer) said:

“What was going through my mind at the time was Donny, because Donny was a very troubled person. I hoped that at some point he would be released from all that he was going through. There was nothing I could do but write something that might be encouraging for him.”

Through the years, the song took on a larger role as an anthem of encouragement for the plight of African Americans suffering racial strife, in spite of the fact that the authors original meaning was a personal message to Hathaway relating to his mental health struggles.

Donny Hathaway himself particularly loved the song and as Eulalah Hathaway stated:

“He loved that song. Donny literally sat in the studio and cried when he heard the playback of his final mix. It’s pretty special when an artist can create something that wipes them out.”

It’s been a very busy week, weddings , corporate events and loads of gorgeous occasion flowers left our store…. No rest for the wicked we have another two weddings this weekend and some spectacular orders that I cannot wait to show off!
