Kelly’s work hat is still off… emails are being monitored but only once or twice a day: replies WILL be slow!
The shop is now closed for the bank holiday too.
Please know we just need some chill time after a manic wedding season… we will be back recharged and ready to hit the ground running!
Kelly is now on annual leave until the 31st…. And although the shop will be running as normal in the very capable hands of Lisa and Claire; admin will be on hold (ish).
Emails will be monitored once a day (before any pina coladas) … after that the work hat comes off and the sun hat stays firmly on!

… and although part of me just feels (similarly to international women’s day) that it should not HAVE to be a thing it’s still a glorious and colourful celebration of the LGBTQ movement.
So all in all I do bloody love it, I love what it stands for, I love the stories and triumphs behind it all…
But do remember ; As a society we have a long way to go to abolish discrimination against our lgbtq community but we are on the right road and my shop and my company will ALWAYS BE A SAFE SPACE FOR EVERY PERSON 🏳️🌈 🫶🏻

Temporary change of hours from August:
Our little shop is run by mums, dads and carers. So to ease the school holiday juggles we adopt slightly different hours during the week for the entire month in August:
MON-FRI 10-4 , SAT (stays the same) 9-2
As always we highly highly encourage preordering as we are very often to busy to make on the spot or even sold out of flower to even make with.
We don’t have to be open to order! We have a fabulously easy to use webshop on our website that pings orders straight to me whether the shop is open or not 💪🏻
But preordering is vital, especially during summer where we keep stock very low to avoid wastage.
Thanks again for your ongoing support… ever grateful to be fighting the high street battle with such an incredible army of customers and fellow shop keepers.

Absolutely no reason for this audio other than the fact that I adore this song…
The lyric was written about the mental pain that Hathaway, who was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, was experiencing at the time. Edward Howard (the song writer) said:
“What was going through my mind at the time was Donny, because Donny was a very troubled person. I hoped that at some point he would be released from all that he was going through. There was nothing I could do but write something that might be encouraging for him.”
Through the years, the song took on a larger role as an anthem of encouragement for the plight of African Americans suffering racial strife, in spite of the fact that the authors original meaning was a personal message to Hathaway relating to his mental health struggles.
Donny Hathaway himself particularly loved the song and as Eulalah Hathaway stated:
“He loved that song. Donny literally sat in the studio and cried when he heard the playback of his final mix. It’s pretty special when an artist can create something that wipes them out.”

Great to be back at @pangdeanbarn this weekend… we are located a stones throw from this stunning barn venue and are lucky enough to work here fairly often through the year. It’s our first visit of 2023 and still never wows me with its rustic-chic charm…. #internationalwomensday : It shouldnt really have to be a thing, but it is so here’s to all the women putting their mark on the world, I bet half of you don’t realise you’re doing it 💪🏻 ——————————————————————— Bella June flowers is named after the most inspirational woman and the little girl I long to inspire: my nana june and daughter Bella.my nana June was the most incredible and vibrant lady and as a child filled my world with glorious colour. If you met her once you’d never forget her. Her weird and wonderful outlook on life was enough to inspire anyone to bloom. Unfortunately it wasn’t until she passed that I truly discovered floristry. In fact, my first serious floristry job was my Nana Junes funeral, but from all the tears and grief a beautiful new adventure was rooted. As I build my brand I often think about my nana, the things she might say and the encouragement she might offer. Her unconditional love, undoubting belief and uncontrollable laughter will remain with me beyond her physical life and I can only hope I pass this down to my children. But Not only did nana june inspire me to follow my passion, she inspired me to be memorable , and i hope one day I inspire some one, and when my children are asked to name an inspirational woman I hope at least one of them says my name.If I have learnt one thing from being a working mum with a dream- it is to thrive off the people that you love and long to inspire- those are the people that matter, because they are the continuation of the ones that inspired and encouraged you to get to where you are in the first place.
