We don't often post on our page anymore as due to Covid, we made the decision to slow things down having appreciated a little more free time. Gift of a wedding is seeking a network of volunteer Ambassadors around the UK. We are looking to create a dynamic team of volunteers to raise awareness about the special work we do. We are positive working with our charity will be an enriching experience and something you will want the world to know about!

Your role would be to inspire others to share your passion for the unique work we do, through talks, holding fundraisers and encouraging others to fundraise for the weddings we create for terminally ill people around the UK.

Sweets, sweets and more sweets for Tim and Mollie's wedding. This setup included 20 different varieties of sweets 😲 The manager at The Darenth told 1066 that this was the best sweetie set up he had ever seen. Lovely feedback 🙂

We had an important delivery at 1066WL HQ this morning in time for the wedding of Tim & Mollie on Monday 💕. Tim and Mollie have chosen strawberry filled doughnuts, cookie crunch filled doughnuts, caramel filled doughnuts and lemon filled doughnuts for their doughnut wall 😋

Our Story

1066 Wedding Lights came about almost by accident. We were looking for lights for a family wedding but were disappointed to find none locally. Furthermore, all those companies that did offer lights were booked up for the year and beyond. We investigated further and we decided instead to get our own lights made and offer a hire service ourselves. 1066 Wedding Lights was born.

Not long after buying the lights, we added the wedding post box and then some confetti crates and, as interest increased and bookings came, so the range also increased. Today, we offer an 11 x 14ft blossom heart arch, 4ft Mr/s & Mr/s lights, 3ft Mr & Mrs (cursive style), 2ft rustic Mr/s & Mr/s lights, 2 sets Love lights, confetti boxes, candy trays, five different post boxes, a large sweet cart, a 5ft freestanding sweetie Ferris Wheel, a 4ft heart shaped light box. two sweet towers, two doughnut walls, 4ft ferrero heart stand, 2ft Mr & Mrs ferrero stand and a LOVE ferrero stand. We continue to research suitably tasteful accessories to help decorate a wedding venue. The latest items to be made available will be our “Happily ever after” and “LOVE” fluorescent signs on copper frame and our gold shimmer wall.

Seeing what was involved in planning a wedding at first hand, we understand the importance of getting things done right and well in advance. It is our hope that you take a look at what we offer and get in contact to see how we can best serve you in providing these unique items to add to your event.
