I’ve been very quiet on social media so far this year but I’ve been in my happy place, hosting workshops, this one was last weekend a lovely spring bouquet class with lovely ladies, a Mother’s Day treat! You’ll also find us refreshing our lovely stand with floral arrangements and fresh plants. We’ve been in the studio crafting and creating some gorgeous florals for weddings and events and I’ve been beavering away on some stunning schemes for this year. Lots to share and I’ll be updating more!

Hosted by local florists Blossom & Wild, the 2-hour workshop held on Saturday 9th March 10am – 12pm will include a brief talk about flower foraging, garden foliage, garden cuttings, a demonstration and fresh spring flowers with which to make your own hand tied bouquet.

This was an amazing opportunity to partner with and deliver a luxurious afternoon for all of the attendees, with a champagne reception and afternoon tea from - What a perfect start to Autumn! 🍂

Tall arrangements, I am often asked will they block the view across the table, my answer is if you want tall then go for tall but not a mid-height - these stands are so versatile, they can be gold, silver, even black, whatever works with your scheme - tall arrangements create a real impact.

You can also mix low dishes on some tables and high on other, this works really well.

I love the chandeliers and these tall arrangements really looked magnificent from the top of the staircase that leads into the orangery.

Monday morning, this week is going to be super busy and I’m starting Monday hitting the ground running!

We do love a runner here at B&W - whether it’s structured to sit at the front of a table, run down the middle, a joined continuous runner or lots of votives used to create a meadow of flowers, they look stunning, this one is from one of our July weddings and I think super pretty.

Beautiful bridal.
This image is the stunning bridal bouquet from Melissa and Nats wedding in July, the ceremony was a stones throw from London Bridge and then the ceremony was down in Midhurst in a beautiful village with a marquee on the village green.
We designed a quintessentially English flower scheme, delicate lemon scented garden roses, stocks and delphinium were a few of the blooms used and a mix of seasonal foliage added texture and movement. We dressed the marquee with simple bud vases and added to large installations using birch poles with abundant sprays of flower hanging centrally down the marquee.
I absolutely adored this colour palette.

Anticipation beautiful caught by
Urns full of lush mixed foliage and gorgeous blooms framed the aisle, these were then moved to the bottom of the staircase, urns stood on plinths are fantastic statement pieces and can be moved very easily to another area after your ceremony and enjoyed for the whole of your celebrations.

Don’t forget the doggie! We love dogs - I have two very naughty miniature schnauzers, Ruby and Bella, they love to come and help in the workshop!!

Dogs are such a big part of their families lives and lots of couples love to include them in their big day. Look at this beauty with her own flower collar! ❤️

We do love a ped, large vase, urn, here at Blossom and Wild. Usually we make these in pairs or fours, they are fabulous inside or outside, real statement pieces for your ceremony and can be moved easily and placed within your wedding breakfast setting.

I’m a huge fan of repurposing - it means you can get the most flowerful arrangements, creating the most impact for your budget as you are not investing in both the ceremony space and the wedding breakfast space, of course somethings are not as easy to move but it’s fabulous to incorporate some pieces that can be enjoyed for the whole of the day!
