Some years ago a couple of very good friends asked me to Officiate over their Wedding Ceremony. They wanted to make a commitment to one another, however, a religious church wedding, with its traditional rituals, words and music did not resonate with their outlook on life. The alternative, in a Register Office, bound by strict regulations controlling what can be said and done and where and when the

ceremony can take place. The short service usually following a prescribed script, allowing no religious, spiritual or even individual content or creativity, and often leaving couples with a strong feeling of anti-climax. They asked if I could create a very personalised, meaningful ceremony that reflected their beliefs, and lifestyle. It was important to them that their Family and friends were not only present at their Ceremony, but could be involved in their ceremony. Most importantly they wanted to choose to hold their ceremony at a place that was very special to them; on their own land. It was a fantastic day, filled with Joy and Love. I was able to capture their journey and build their unique Wedding Ceremony. One that had true significance for them as a couple. They, and several other friends suggested I do more Ceremonies, so here I am. Using my experience as a Celebrant for your Wedding Day allows you all the flexibility you could wish for. It’s up to you, let your imagination run wild! You will be able to have your wedding wherever you choose. Perhaps you have a special place, where you met, a favorite spot on a beach, in the woods, the local aquarium, caves, cliff tops, aboard a boat, or simply in your own back garden, the choice is yours, and Cornwall has so much to offer. Your ceremony can be held at any time, and it will be entirely up to you how the whole occasion flows. You can choose to write your own vows, include readings, poems, music, and anything else you desire, without restriction. If you wish to be legally married it is important to arrange for an official registration of your marriage at an applicable registry office, where you will legally become a married couple. Costs for this are usually a fraction of what it costs for a registrant to attend at a licensed venue, or hiring the ceremony room at the registry office. There is usually a basic fee for filing the marriage application, then another small fee for a basic ceremony on a scheduled date with your witnesses. Check with your local authorities for applicable requirements. Of course you can do this in another County and come to Cornwall for your Bespoke Ceremony. The first step is to meet with me to set the date for your ceremony. You can paint me a picture of yourselves as a couple and we will work on incorporating your Relationship to one another into your Marriage Ceremony. We can define the overall structure and programme, for example, do you want to use nick-names, how do you want to enter the venue, writing your vows, poetry, readings and music. We can discuss the Giving and Receiving of Rings, Sand Ceremonies, Hand-fasting, even Jumping the Broomstick! Once a date is set, an initial non-rufundable £100
deposit secures my services for the day of your celebration. The remaining balance of £250 is due 6 weeks before your wedding date. A breakdown of what I provide is as follows:

An initial Consultation Meeting, and setting the date, a deposit of £100. Any travel expenses within Cornwall + 45p per mile beyond Cornwall. Unlimited email, telephone or Skype calls. A bespoke wedding ceremony that will be created by Me, individual to you as a couple. Options to include a Hand-fasting, Sand ceremony, Jumping the broomstick, and freedom to include religious, spiritual and/or wedding traditions from around the globe. A keepsake copy of your wedding ceremony script. A Rehearsal with me (at a pre arranged time and date), and your Bridal party.

Tina and John have chosen an Autumn Equinox wedding in a beautiful countryside camping spot. I am so honoured to have had the opportunity to create a ceremony with this gorgeous couple. They’ve chosen a very special day that resonates with them for their hand fasting. We’ve been on this journey together since before lock down, and as they live in Australia we have only met virtually. I’m super excited to be meeting them in person in a couple of weeks. I will be travelling off in my little van.

Funerals are less restricted than you may think, and you can hold a celebration of life with your loved one practically anywhere, you are not restricted to a crematorium or church. Prices vary so please contact me for details.
