Funeral tributes don't necessarily need to be huge - this delicate tribute was hand tied with jute twine and featured from the garden, gorgeous scented white sweet peas and a touch of pretty lilac lisianthus - plus, always, a sprig of rosemary for remembrance. all compostable and no floral foam

had the best weekend ever celebrating the husbands 65th birthday just outside Chichester - ably assisted by we enjoyed creating so many colourful flower arrangements throughout the house, with welcoming bud vases in every one of the guest bedrooms and large free flowing arrangements in all the reception rooms. So much joy to be with family for a fabulous dinner prepared by Adam - simply wonderful!

Had a bit of fun this week with a Christmas wreath I'd had an idea for since last year when I read that Quality Street were ditching their iconic colourful cellophane wrappers in favour of eco friendly wax paper. We saved all the shiny wrappers in readiness for my wreath. I posted it on here and, thanks to , the story was picked up by those folk , 😁🍬🎄 and they loved it! - sadly not enough to bring the old wrappers back 😉, but they asked me to make them a wreath with the new wrappers which is now winging it's way to them!

There's been quite bit of noise on the subject of the new wrappers with so many stories and Quality Street memories at Christmas. I'm still sad the old wrappers have gone and I know we need to make things recyclable but for me the new wrappers just don't cut it! no rustle & no shine just ain't the same! - but what do you think? iconic or new wraps?

You may have seen this post on Instagram but in case you missed it, here is my Quality Street wreath - an ode to the traditional yummy coloured cellophane wraps that have been substituted for wax paper packaging. I read about this forthcoming change in the papers last year and carefully saved every single cellophane wrap from our QS tubs to make sure I found a way to remember those iconic shapes and colours!
Let's see if we can get those folk at Nestle Quality Street to do a U turn on their truly dull new wrappings and stop them trying to convince us that they are a great new look - they are absolutely NOT. I'm all for being eco-friendly but surely they could find a way to keep our sweets as we know and love them?
Please Nestle, listen to the people - we want our traditional wraps back! Share now if you agree!

looking back to a lovely wedding a few weeks ago for the lovely and Gavin at Greyfriars House in Surrey - a pretty palette of lilac and white with lovely eucalyptus. all foam free of course and a flexible set up allows the table flowers to be used for the wedding service - we love to make the most of all the flowers at a wedding!

Enjoyed a lovely afternoon with my floristry chums and Claire from - a walk through the grasses followed by a cuppa and cake - another birthday treat! check out the clever birds created out of plastic milk containers! the gardens close for the winter this weekend so hop down for a wander through the beautiful grasses while you can.

Lovely busy week with lots of different orders - hair flowers for , a classic rose bouquet for Anotella who got married and then onto judging the floral art displays at Cuckfield Village show on Saturday, here with fellow judges and , earlier in the week an order from Massachuset, jam jars for , bespoke corsage and buttonhole with buttercup rose and hot pink germini then two anniversaries on 27th August and also my brother and for whom I found the very apt and lovely (Harper being their surname and indeed my maiden name!) and finally party flowers for Paige
I love the variety of my work and am just as happy with small bespoke orders as large scale weddings - do get in touch if you need flowers for ANY occasion!

So delighted to provide the flowers for and .bunn wedding last weekend at The Hooke. A stunning setting which was a joy to adorn with flowers! Beautiful roses everywhere - Notre Dame, Dorchester, Porcelina spray, charmant and many more. Huge orbs of foliage and gypsophila hanging from the ceiling of the marquee, two large asymmetric pieces to welcome their guests and bottles of flowers interspersed with candles all along the tables allowing room for the wonderful platters served for their wedding breakfast!
