Wow, 2024, what a year...... this time last year, I was researching celebrant courses, and I had no idea that following this path would lead to not only a full-time job but a rewarding and fulfilling career. I am super grateful to everyone who has supported me on this journey!

I was set on my journey by the wonderful with their remarkable training.

Then, with oodles of hard work and some gentle encouragement, I have managed to carve my own way.
I am overwhelmed by the support from my local funeral directors and the lovely people in the wedding industry.

I can't wait to see what 2025 has in store for me...... but all I can say is ..... I AM READY!

What a lovely day
I spent the day chatting with some lovely couples and demonstrated a modern twist on handfasting. It is a lovely unity ritual steeped in tradition. This modern twist means you can get your loved ones involved, and you end up with a physical representation of tying the knot 🪢

What a wonderful way to start September, with a little self-care, you cannot pour from an empty cup, so keep those reserves topped up. I have already started planning my week which includes a cheeky little facial on Wednesday after the kids go back to school.
Whether it's a pamper, getting out in nature or simply being kind to yourself..... step into September with a bit of self care and self love ❤️

Making music choices can be so difficult for a wedding, it has to feel right for you both. If you are getting stuck and need a little inspiration, why not ask friends and family..... you may just be pleasantly surprised by their choices.
I had visited my grandad and told him we had been struggling to find the right song for our first dance, then next time I visited he handed me a folded piece of paper with a list of wonderful songs 💕
We listened to them all and decided on Nat King Cole's L-O-V-E. It feels even more special to have had that input from my Grandad, who has since passed away.

Well every day is so different and I can work anywhere, from coffee shops, families homes, online and even in the car! As long as I have my laptop, folder and signature red lippy I am generally good to go!
Everyday always starts with coffee! And when conducting a ceremony I always take a mint tea on the road and have a halls soother before doing a vocal warm up! (This is so important as noone wants a croaky celebrant)
I always take time to decompress after a ceremony, this usually involves a dog walk with my beautiful black lab! Taking care of myself so that I can take care of others!

I love my job!
So wonderful to receive such lovely feedback from some services I have recently delivered. I absolutely love meeting with new people and finding out about their treasured loved one. To be able to deliver a service that is meaningful to them and write a eulogy that shares everything they want is an absolute honour and a privilege.

If I can make the day of the funeral just a tiny bit better for the family, I have done my job.
