JASMINE // A team spotlight moment for this lady 🤍

Jasmine has been with the SAGE gang since the very beginning and is definitely my right hand lady. Many of you will know this smiling face anyway. But for those who don’t, here’s a little more about this floral powerhouse…

- Jas has over 10 years experience working within the industry from shop work to running her own business and freelancing for others.
- Mum to a beautiful baby boy and 3 fur babies.
- Jas and I are sometimes mistaken for each other on events. It’s a short brown hair thing.
- You will find Jasmine at almost every SAGE event creating flower magic, delivering bridal party flowers and generally bossing it.
- Problem solver extraordinaire. It’s amazing what she can fix with a cable tie!

Jasmine will be running some of our sites this summer and she’s looking forward to flowering weddings all over Sussex, Surrey and Kent.

HELLO // I’ve see a few new followers popping up, so thought I would introduce myself to anyone joining on this floral journey.

Before flowers my background was in Events Management mainly in heritage venues in London.

I am Sussex born and mostly bred.

A flower lover from a very young age. Apparently I used to lead my Grandma around the garden telling her all the names of the flowers. Most likely getting them wrong!

Being outdoors in nature with my little dachshund by my side is my happy place.

SAGE was started in 2018 and has lead me to meet incredible clients and suppliers. I am forever grateful for taking the leap to start my own business.

ON THE BENCH // Spring flowers. I made this little arrangement for my lovely mum on Mother’s Day last year. She adores spring flowers. Some of my all time favourite spring blooms in here…papery petaled Icelandic poppies, fluffy acid green viburnum, delicate hellebores and fragrant roses.

PULL UP A SEAT // this one never gets old 🫶🏼

This was the very first thing I shot for my first website when I started SAGE in 2018. I wanted to create a magical dinner in this old Christmas tree farm. Once upon a time these trees would have been small Christmas trees and now they are towering pines. I loved this thought and hoped it would be a metaphor for my business. Not quite towering pines yet but it’s certainly come along way in 5 years 💫

A little about me…
- I have a miniature dachshund called Pip who sometimes pops up on the grid and on site
- I’m a country girl who loves nothing more than being outside
- I was an events manager for 10yrs before starting my floral career
- I love connecting with other suppliers in the industry. It really is such a great community to be part of
- I am a one man band day to day but have the most fabulous team of talented freelance florists who help me achieve floral magic for events

BALANCE // Often florals get very heavily concentrated around the dining area only, especially at marquee weddings.

Personally I like to bring the florals throughout the whole reception space to provide a balanced and holistic design.

HELLO // thought it was time to show my face (this is as good as it gets with photos of me!)

SAGE & CO was born from pure passion for, not only flowers of course, but a huge passion for the events industry.

The events industry has been at the centre of my career every since starting out in the workplace. I enjoyed an incredible career as an event manager for many years before switching it up and retraining as a florist. I am lucky enough to have seen the industry from many sides, giving me a unique insight into not only florals but full event design and logistics.

I am never happier than with flowers in hand or on site at an event. Even smiling away sweeping up 😁

Concept to creation is the best part of my job. The buzz you get when you see it all come together and you bring your clients vision to life is incredible!

TABLESCAPE // I was feeling all the spring vibes until this recent cold snap. Now my mind is drifting back to autumn winter events.

This impactful autumnal tablescape was an all time autumnal favourite of mine. Creating using a variety of vessels to bring rise and fall throughout the design. The rich autumnal colour palette highlighted with pops of hot pink. Fruit scattered along the tables bringing a different texture. And the warmth of candlelight…this embodies autumn for me.
