Cooking is a life skill! Our cookery workshops are a great way to introduce children to cooking in a fun and friendly environment, helping to develop confidence and promote creativity and teamwork!

Places are filling up fast, but we have some places available on all our 8-11 age group workshops.

📢Announcement Please Read

Dear Customers,

We are excited to announce that the Culinary Studio here at Apron Strings is growing and our own culinary journey is changing. We have been working hard on expanding our event catering and private chef services along with our bespoke tuition. Our vision has always been focussed on bringing people together through culinary education and bespoke dining experiences; when we opened in 2020 our small cheese and charcuterie shop took centre stage as our other services were not able to function due to Covid 19. We are thrilled that our original intended services are now thriving, and we are looking forward to where these will take us.

As of this week, we will be reducing our shop operating hours as we embark upon our next chapter. The shop will now open from Wednesday to Saturday only. You can continue to contact us via the usual channels and place orders ready to collect from Wednesday onwards.

We hope that Apron Strings will remain a hub for sharing our passion for fine food. Thank you to all our customers who continue to support our local, family business. We couldn’t do it without you!

🌞 Booking for our summer workshops will open tomorrow from 9am. 🌞 PLEASE READ

We have attached more information about each workshop below. You can view our timetable in our pinned posts.

📢Booking is via email only! Email:

Please state the workshop you would like to book and the age and name of the participant. All bookings are subject to availability and secured by payment upon booking.

After you have received confirmation of your booking we will send you a registration form to be completed before the workshop takes place. All workshops will be run by both Paul, a professional chef, and Jess a qualified secondary school teacher.

We will respond to all emails in the order in which they are received. Unfortunately, we are working on a first come first served basis, but we will endeavour to accommodate as many people as we can.

We've been getting a lot of enquires about cookery lessons for children/young people recently. With our backgrounds in teaching and professional cheffing, we are hoping to extend our current tuition to run cookery workshops for ages 8-11 and 12 -16 during the summer holidays this year.

Learning about food and how to cook is a great skill to have and starting young is even better!
