Introducing our first Ethiopian coffee of 2020.

Refisa Lot 3 is a coffee that stood out straight away after cupping over 10 lots at Refisa Washing Station. It comes from West Arsi, a unique coffee growing region which we’ve rarely explored on our travels.

West Arsi has always fascinated green buyers. It borders Bale Mountain National Park’s Harenna Forest, an area that just recently started to see a lot of investment from producers. You can now find micro-stations processing wild forest coffee in the most remote areas hardly accessible by car.

The cherries are pulped by a traditional Agaarde Discpulper. Skin and fruit pulp are removed before the machine grades the parchment in water as 1st or 2nd quality, determined by density.

Presenting the Milk Float.

Located Lakeside at Victoria Park in London, the float is currently pitched up next to their cafe which is currently being renovated ready for reopening towards the end of August. As always with Pavilion, the pastries, breads and drinks on offer are outstanding, showcasing produce from some incredible independent businesses.

The Milk Float is open 8-4pm weekdays, 8-6pm weekdays. Take a trip there this weekend and make sure you get there early, as items sell out fast.

Dear Rattler fans,

After much deliberation, discussions and newswatching, it has become clear that we have to make the following announcement, for the safety of you, our festival family.

Due to the government's most recent advice of limiting social contact and also not allowing emergency services to attend large events, of over 500 people, we feel it is necessary to postpone Rattler Fest 2020. This has not been a decision we have taken lightly, but have decided that ultimately, the safety of our customers is the number one priority.

All is not lost though! If you have already purchased your tickets, they will still be valid for use for Rattler Fest on it's new date of Saturday 27th June, 2020. Please note, this date could be subject to change depending on future government advice surrounding Covid-19, but we are ever hopeful that this will stay as it is. For those ticket holders that cannot make the new date, do not worry, your tickets will be rolled over and valid for use for Rattler Fest 2021, which will be held on Saturday April 3rd.

If you wish to attend the event in 2021, just let us know via the email [email protected] before the 30th May 2020 in order for us to issue you with a new ticket for 2021. Please include the email address, post code and ticket numbers in your email so we can find your order and make the swap.

Porthleven Food Festival cancelled for 2020

It is with heavy hearts that the organisers of Porthleven Food Festival must announce that our 2020 event, which was due to take place from 17-19 April, will be cancelled.

All ticketholders will be automatically refunded and all traders, acts, artists and speakers will be rebooked for the 2021 event.

The decision, which has not been taken lightly, has been made amidst the current situation with Coronavirus/ COVID-19 in the UK.

With less than five weeks to go any additional restrictions on the movement of people, or a nationwide ban on events being enacted in the coming weeks, would be financially catastrophic for our Festival. We therefore feel that we must cancel the event this year in order to guarantee its future survival.

The team has already put a great deal of time, resource and energy into organising and promoting this year’s event and this is not a decision we’ve made lightly.

We hope you understand and respect our difficult decision to act now, thus removing uncertainty, reducing the amount of outlay by our audiences, sponsors, traders, suppliers and partners and helping to secure the event in future years.
