This is a very difficult post for me to write. Very sadly, after 9 years my landlord has decided to double the rent and not renew my lease in November. I have been unable to find a suitable premises that will comfortably fit the cars as well as my sister company Frocks & Frills Wedding Studio. Therefore I have taken the very difficult decision to downsize and sell a couple of the cars.

Margaret-Rose has sold to a British car collector and will shortly be leaving to go back to London where she will undergo some restoration work before being placed in a museum. I felt this was the right move for her as she's such a beautiful and very special car and this will ensure she's kept for prosperity.

Amelia has a new owner lined up and will stay local to Helston. I'm currently in talks with her new owner about being able to still use her for weddings once she has had some work done to get her running properly.

So that leaves Sophie. As you all know she is currently undergoing a restoration and respray. Once that has been completed she will be available to hire for weddings. I will not be taking any bookings for her until all respray work has been completed.

This has not been an easy decision to make but hopefully it's the right decision for the cars. It's getting harder and harder to keep these old classics running so I am happy that they will be going to new owners who will keep them as original as possible.

Thank you to all the brides and grooms who have used my services over the last 9 years and who have given me some beautiful memories, not to mention the grey hairs when the cars have decided they dont want to play! I'll keep this page going for when Sophie is back and available to hire ❤

Bought a new fuel filler cap for Sophie, thought this will look much smarter once she's had her full respray than the black plastic filler cap she currently has (her original one was left on a petrol pump at Asda several years ago but we've moved on from who did that 😆)

Margaret-Rose is back after going into the garage for an oil leak which turned into major works! She's had extensive work carried out including partial engine rebuild with a reshelled bottom end, all lower end gaskets replaced, all brakes renewed, gear box filter and a full professional detail to make her all shiny. Massive thank you to Chris who completed the work and corrected a lot of previous work which had been completed to a very poor standard and also to Alan from Westcountry Limos for stepping in to cover the weddings I couldn't do and also letting me borrow his beautiful limo for a wedding he couldn't drive for. Unfortunately this has had a knock on effect for Sophie as work on Margaret-Rose took priority. However, Chris will now continue completing Sophie's restoration so watch this space for more updates on her.

Look what's just arrived 😍 in for a bit of TLC before she'll be joining the fleet at Amelia's Classic Cars. This Daimler DS420 laudelette has a drop down roof for the glorious summer sun ☀️ watch this space for her transformation into a top class wedding car.

First update on Sophie. She has a new back panel. Can't express how happy I am to see work started on her again.

And Sophie has finally left to finish the last of her mammoth restoration! It's been nearly 3 years since she first left the studio. Major drawbacks with garage delays and the guy who was doing such a fab job leaving. Very pleased that I waited for him to set up his own place and she is now back with him to be finished. She's gonna be amazing!
