Loved this gorgeous set up at The Bull on Bell Street earlier today for a very sophisticated first birthday lunch in their private dining room - The Garden Room. It really is a stunning room and this ‘Wild One’ theme complimented the interior decor perfectly.

It means a huge amount as it is a customer service award and whilst this year has honestly not been an easy one with lots of extra plates to juggle, I really try my hardest to deliver a great customer experience so it is wonderful to be recognised for that. We’ve always offered a returns and recycle service to our customers but we understand that life just isn’t always that easy. Often, ‘shoving it in the bin - well it’s plastic so I’ll stick it in the recycling’ is what happens on an ordinary Wednesday when the dogs just been sick, the kids are kicking off, you’ve not eaten all day, and quite frankly that little bit of plastic isn’t going to make much difference…… so without making you feel guilty for stuff we shouldn’t be feeling guilty for (and quite frankly there is a lot of unacceptable consumer guilt ‘washing’ over the grid at the moment), we decide to just make it easier for you. The idea is of course, that you’ll re-use the paper box and the stones will get put in the garden, but actually if life takes over, you can just pop this in the bin, and worst-case, if it does end up in land fill, it will breakdown and won’t harm the earth. The stones will still be there in eons to come but it won’t be the same as a plastic weight. We’re always looking at all of these elements and trying to make small tweaks to make our business more sustainable. Please check our website for the safety comments on this new transition as for those of you ordering balloons for small children, it’s very important that you don’t leave them unattended with these new weights (or balloons for that matter)!
