Just 3 months to wait!

With just three months to go before we can all enjoy the West Wycombe Chamber Music Festival at Hambleden, it is time to give you an early glimpse of what to expect at this year's concerts.
The Festival will run from Thursday evening, 17 September, to Saturday evening, 19 September.

Five concerts will be given, each one different from the others, and all will take place at the Church of Saint Mary the Virgin in the beautiful village of Hambleden, Buckinghamshire.

The Festival's founder and artistic director, the world-renowned viola player Lawrence Power, is just finishing an extraordinary concert tour in Australia which has taken audiences by storm!

In a quiet moment he has given us an outline of some of the performers who will be appearing in Hambleden in September. These will include Festival favourites Simon Crawford-Phillips (piano), John Myerscough (cello) and Sergio Bucheli (lutes). Violinist Stephanie Gonley will also be making a welcome return to the Festival.
The Festival will include a Young Artists morning concert.

Full details of the Festival and the works to be performed will be finalised over the coming weeks, and further announcements will follow.

Lawrence returns to the UK in the coming days, and can then be heard in performances at the Aldeburgh Festival on 27 and 28 June. Following that and his other performance in Europe, we will have him and his fellow performers all to ourselves in Hambleden for five precious concerts!

The Festival is now well into its second decade and there is a wealth of information about it at : https://westwycombemusic.org.uk/
