Editing skies today, many not as dramatic as this one. For my backdrops I often have to replace existing skies with more suitable ones. A good sky for backdrops is often quite subtle nothing that’s memorable so I often end up shooting skies that others wouldn’t bother with.

The members of Vannar Sangham belong to Vannan community families who were working here since 1720. The Dutch govt. brought the ancestors of this community from different parts of Tamil Nadu and Malabar to Fortkochi for washing the Dutch army’s uniform. The Dutch allotted 13 acre of land and set up around 80 traditional sand bored ponds for the families for washing purpose earlier this place was known by.

When there’s two shots left and all the batteries are looking a bit dodgy then mobile power to the rescue. You can’t always get in somewhere and borrow a plug socket, if you can’t great but I always like to be self sufficient. Out shooting Translights with Canon r5, camranger2 and ecoflow mobile power.

Not much of a sunrise for the Friday swim this morning but every week is different. This morning it was fog but a beautiful calmness over the water. It’s turned very mild again and with no wind even getting dressed was quite pleasant.
