It is with profound sadness that we share the devastating news that our friend and colleague, Joe Carter, General Manager at Hotel du Vin Brighton, has passed away.

Joe joined Hotel du Vin Brighton in 2022, bringing with him an infectious warmth and kindness that was loved by everyone who met him. His charisma and verve were felt not just in Brighton but by all his Hotel du Vin colleagues, and he will be deeply missed.

Joe was the heart of our Brighton hotel, an outstanding hotelier, and an exceptional gentleman. He was an excellent host to his guests and a deeply caring leader for his team. It is through Joe’s work that his legacy will continue to shape Hotel du Vin Brighton for years to come.

Our condolences and deepest sympathies are with Joe's loved ones at this difficult time. For all who knew Joe, we extend our thanks for the support and kindness you have shown.
