🔉Did you know that we check each audio system at least twice before your wedding here at The Old Milking Parlour at Cavokay House?🔉We do a complete system set up and check one or two days prior to your ceremony. The equipment is then taken down and put indoors ready for your wedding day.🔉Then, on your wedding day morning we are out on the lawn (or in the woods if you're having a woodland ceremony) running those cables back out, setting up our speaker, the mixer desk and checking the ear mics (mics are a whole other video!).🔉Many people are surprised that we don't use Bluetooth systems for our outside P.A. But we all know how nebulous Bluetooth connections can be, and when it really matters, cables are far more trustworthy.🔉Similarly, many people are surprised that we don't run our audio from a Spotify playlist. However our rustic WiFi definitely does not rock and we like to have your ceremony music safely downloaded to our system well in advance of your wedding day. 🔉For peace of mind, we also have a back up system with mixer desk as well as back up speakers. 🔉For the tech geeks our mixer desk is a Behringer Xenyx and our speaker is an LD Systems portable PA . Both are dual power, so will run from mains or internal battery. Which makes them ideal for woodland ceremonies. 🔉And even when we have a woodland ceremony we still do a full set up check one or two days before. 🌳N & L's wedding here at The Old Milking Parlour at Cavokay House...🌳They had the most beautiful woodland ceremony conducted by @somersetregistrations in which they read their own incredibly moving vows in a sun dappled glade in our private woodland. 🍗 They had the most delicious barbecue, complete with South African delicacies from our fabulous approved caterer @dikeandson 💙 N's elegant table styling with mismatched jars bottles, books and stunning florals was a real treat for the eyes.🎈For the children, there was a super comfy stretch tent for them to chill out in. It came complete with movie projector from @kaylasbelltents 🎪 Our approved marquee supplier @maidmansmarquees supplied their beautiful stretch tent complete with gorgeous festoon lights .🎶 Ceremony music and music on the lawn was by an acoustic guitarist, there was also a harpist who played during the wedding breakfast. Our house DJ @rssound_entertainment provided the tunes for the evening.🏏 There was even a afternoon cricket match on the back paddock.☀️ And the sun shone!☺️More of this very memorable day later, but for now, enjoy the summer vibes taken on the morning of their day.🙏Thank you again, N and L for choosing us and for allowing us to share your day. #woodlandwedding

🔊SOUND CHECK SATURDAY....🔔Did you know that the day before our couples arrive to style their ceremony area we do a full ceremony set up complete with PA system and sound check?🎼The electronics are removed overnight and set up and replaced and rechecked the day before the wedding so that our couples can have a rehearsal. The electronics are then checked again early on the morning of the wedding. 🎵Colin's previous life as a government electronics scientist and also as a professional musician means that he's uniquely qualified to ensure all our acoustics here at The Old Milking Parlour at Cavokay House are absolutely top notch.🎶The music you hear playing here is The Vitamin String Quartet playing through our superb P.A. system - you can tell the sound quality, even from a mobile phone video.
