Friday flowers, and here’s something different on my grid! I go for a good walk everyday, and it was hard to miss these beautiful fields of dainty white Fairy Flax on my evening walk with Captain Jack earlier this week. These fields were all dancing with the breeze, in time with the skylarks song, and their pretty white nodding faces were as far as the eye could see. So pretty. Wow . . . I can’t quite believe its almost July already. This year is flying by, and the landscape and nature are a reminder of time. I’m so thankful to live here in beautiful Gloucestershire, and grateful to have gorgeous country walks like this on my doorstep. I’m definitely a country girl, I’m happiest outdoors & I love how this scene changes every time I walk here with Captain Jack. I always take time to stop, to look, and to breathe it all in; the flowers, hedgerows and grasses, the songbirds, the wild animals, the weather, the light and the changing seasons. It inspires me.👩🏼‍🌾

Today was an R&R day for me as I’m still not feeling 100% … I took the day off work and went to the Midsummer garden show in Malvern, have a leisurely mosey around, bought a few gardenalia bits and bobs and a few cottage garden plants that I had on my wish list. Then I went on a lovely leisurely dog walk with Captain Jack, where we found a lake and he had a wonderful swim, and I took time to look at the birds, and the clouds and the wild flowers. I love wild roses, and these had such pretty two tone petals. The bees definitely loved them too. 🌸🌿🐾👩🏼‍🌾

This relentless wetter than wet, wet weather is crap! So i’m posting this video as a self indulgent opportunity to cheer up myself and remind myself that I have lots reasons to be optimistic of better weather and that I have lots of floral summer dresses just waiting to burst out of the wardrobe and how much I love to make and wear a floral crown.
