Its British flowers week ! To celebrate I have cut myself a few blooms whilst starting to cut for a wedding on Saturday! Excited but nervous as the temps are high 🔆 so lots of prep work has already started. Cutting flowers for a wedding /event is a little trickier , you need them to be more mature and some fully open , unlike when your selling in bunches or a as a gift you want to last. Flowers won't be on the gate this week as very warm and im very busy🤣, but please drop me a message if you'd like some , or pop to ,where a fresh delivery has been dropped off. After picking too many flowers for a farewell arrangement, I popped them quickly in a vase for a treat for myself.🥰
The early sweet peas smell amazing , I just need to remember to cut them !

Ive had to sit and let myself have a good cry this morning as it's all just so overwhelming. 5 wks still to go of box rest for James, but I'm making a tiny turnout pen each day so he gets a few hrs in the sunshine bless him, watching him like a hawk! Seedlings/ plants everywhere, desperately seeking sunshine yet too much and they won't survive! And then customers wanting £5 worth of flowers! . If only I recorded my days , eating at 10pm at night and hoping I won't get woken up again from the pain in my knees , hands etc..so please if you want fresh , local grown flowers , please think of how much time and effort might possibly of gone into growing them . I manage my small growing area on my own mostly and it's alot of hard graft, with little pay . I don't want sympathy, just a little support and appreciation. Thankyou for reading Xx

Mum hasn't had much time lately as poor James has a bad leg and is on box rest etc but she will work out how to post it on here later !( social media is not her strong point! and think she has a phone phobia at times!) Unlike me, I'm so photogenic , don't you think! 🐾
