Not many flowers blooming now and only a few dahlias survived but a lovely bouquet went out today for a very special 60th wedding anniversary! Isn't that wonderful! Not sure my husband would cope with me for that long! 😆

Oh I've missed playing with dried flowers ! But as the fresh flowers have slowed down and the ones that have been hung up are nearly all dry i thought I would have a break from other jobs! Foam free unless requested .🙂

Evening ! I know I should try and post more and do all this social media bla de blah and get lots of followers etc but i am me , just me and my animals do come first as rightly it should be . My flowers i really wish i could give more time to, I barely have time to sleep 😴 😆but keep meaning to share this beautiful photo of Sophie and Tom's wedding a couple of wks ago, which I had the pleasure of growing and arranging flowers for and then of the lovely Alice, helping me at the , making dried flower headbands /crowns. X

Such a shame that someone has thought £7.50 is to much to pay for a bunch of local grown flowers . Lots of time and effort to germinate from seed, pot on and grow etc , let alone prepare the ground by hand from what was just an over grown orchard What makes them feel the have the right to steal them from my gate is beyond me. Anyway on a sunnier note there are sunflowers now available!🙂 Beautiful creamy yellow dwarf varieties with pale center's unlike the traditional sunflowers . Please let me know if you would like a bunch x

A few pics for you..just so happy I've managed to keep some alive with all the challenges including poor germination rates,mice with the munchies,slug damage , flea bettles etc, oh and not forgetting waterlogged flower beds now so dry I'm watering at 10pm when I've finished seeing to the animals 😴 Its certainly not an easy task and I take my hat off to all the other flower growers especially with plots alot bigger than my little patch. Now, a busy few wks with funeral flowers, party poseys ,wedding flowers, and a few gift bouquets . Still managing to put a few bunches at and at my gate (Square payment taken if you don't have any cash to hand dont forget!)Happy days 😊💐 ###

Unfortunately I've been unable to attend the Vintage and Country Fair with my fresh and dried flowers as planned 😔, so here is just a few of the flowers that have been cut . Bunches will be at my gate here in Michaelchurch Escley from £5, heading to Hopes of Longtown and also my husband will deliver free locally if spending over £20 . Today marks the beginning of British Flowers Week!

How many of you buy British-grown cut flowers and foliage from your local grower?

Here in I'm growing on a very small scale , ( and that's truly one of the hardest jobs I've ever had!) but when you love what you do , the satisfaction seeing the beautiful end results of what you've nurtured is beyond words. I just feel so lucky I've had the chance to do it . ( even when I'm beyond exhausted from all the work) .
