Enjoy an eye-opening and mouthwatering day of cheesemaking, learn about every stage of the production of hard and soft cheeses at Monkland Cheese Dairy.

Your cheesemaker and guide for the day have a wealth of experience as an Artisan producer for over 18 years and as a retailer of the finest British and continental cheeses for 25 years in her chain of Mousetrap Cheese Shops (1987-2012).

Whether a group or just a total cheese enthusiast the day can be tailored to your needs. It’s a hands-on tour so you will actually be making the cheese! A ploughman’s lunch is provided for you as well as afternoon tea and tea and coffee breaks throughout the day. Afterwards your own handmade cheese will be matured on site by the professionals and mailed to you when it is ready to be gobbled up.
