So another hot spicy chilli delivered to the lovely Amanda, Paul and Polly at Chestfield Cricket Club yesterday as it was yet again too cold for a finger buffet. Chilli con carne, jacket potatoes, rice, cheese, green salad and garlic bread. Followed by Lemon Drizzle and Chocolate Brownies £10pp.

You do not always get an opportunity to take a photo of your work set up, so here’s Saturday’s buffet en route to the Chestfield Parisoners Annual buffet. They needed that chilli with jacket potatoes and garlic bread as it was freezing (not sure how the salad went down though!!!)

Merry Christmas everyone it’s been a very busy month so I am now having a week off to spend with my Spanish family. I will be back in time for the usual NYE sausage rolls orders!!!! Have great ones eat drink and be merry xx.

Massive thanks to Bob the Landlord at the Rising Sun for the free hire of his restaurant today and the lovely George and Charlie for their help! Big huge thanks for volunteers who were strangers this morning and now friends and reliable Heather with her Marigolds. All my besties who donated so generously and all the wonderful people who have turned up in the last few days at my front door with amazing cakes, sandwiches and sausage rolls. Also not to mention local companies Fay Morrisons Debbie Butterfly Garden Tea Parties Maya Maya's community support Centre and Lily White Kitchen. Superb community spirit once again ###x

Hiya everyone on this chilly day. Just a reminder for our OVER 70’S FREE CHRISTMAS AFTERNOON TEA. Looking for donations to feed 80 guests. Anything would be greatly appreciated from a loaf of bread, any sandwich fillings, home made sandwiches would be amazing. Cakes, scones, sausage rolls shop bought is great, homemade even better. Clotted cream and jam and finally Christmas crackers anything even a £1 loaf of bread would be greatly appreciated you can bring to 43 Mickleburgh Avenue on 11th December or drop off at the Rising Sun on the 12th many thanks x

LOCAL MATES. Morning Gang it’s that time of the year again. Me Old Vintage China is hosting it’s Christmas Over 70’s Afternoon Tea open to anyone over 70 in Herne Bay who wants to enjoy a FREE afternoon enjoying the run up to Christmas socialising with obviously lots of tea and cakes. So this post is ONLY to ask if anyone is willing to give up their pub/hall/restaurant for an afternoon to hold this wonderful event. Also asking for volunteers to help on the day. Chauffeurs to collect and return our guests and of course donations of sandwiches, sausage rolls, cakes, tea, coffee, Christmas crackers, etc to make this event magical let me know if you can help THANK YOU x
