We have many other extra services to offer including our wonderful vintage sweet cart...'The Sweet Boutique', which can be dressed to suit all occaisions including 'the vintage' look, and our 'fun' childrens cart to name a few. We will work with you to 'compliment' any colour scheme. We have chair covers and sashes in many colours and shades to hire, with a choice of buckles and flowers to compliment the sash. We offer a decorating service...to transform a 'blank' venue into a 'spectacular' venue. We offer a full or partial planning service on any event. So this is a very difficult, heart wrenching, hard post to share, and unfortunately my final one. As of the end of July EDE will be no more 😞 I have made the very difficult decision to close Emma Davies Events. This decision has not come easy, but it’s the right decision. Covid had a huge impact on me in so many ways, personally and professionally, EDE suffered hugely not only mentally but financially and since then I’ve lost the passion and spark that I need to carry out and continue events with the standard that my reputation comes with. I had the most amazing time organising the most incredible weddings and events, met the most amazing people, clients, many becoming friends, I had so much fun, laughter , lots of stress! But oh so worth it ! Produced some incredible, sometimes impossible events and loved the challenge, I was and am bloody good at what I do! BUT would not have been able to do this without some amazing incredible supportive people behind me! Including my dear hubby Stevey , my gorgeous daughters Phbs and Summer , and my dear Lou and Nik, my rocks 💗 Last but no means Least my incredible staff…. Every single one of you made a difference to every event, you put up with me, dealt with every situation that arose/ was thrown at you, including blocked Loos, guests chocking on a fish bone, guests hair on fire, guests falling into ditches, drunk guests, poorly guests, head wounds , glass in eyes….. and the list goes on! My staff were the backbone of every single event, long hard hours, and you never moaned or complained, love you guys thank you 🙏 💗💗💗💗 so I can’t lie I write this post with tears in my eyes, I’ve had the best time , will never regret anything, had the most incredible time and experiences , met the most incredible people , but for now I bid you farewell , thank you for everyone that has supported Emma Davies Events in anyway , I will miss the buzz, will miss taking a step back and smiling to know that I made ’that’ wedding / event work and look like that . Now onto pastures new. 💗

It’s been an incredibly hard and testing time for us all in the industry over the last two years, EDE hasn’t really taken off again since COVID hit, but I’m hoping and praying that next year will be the year when life can go back to some sort of ‘normal’ and EDE and team can start to plan and organise some amazing events and weddings again. Wishing all my past and future clients, supplies and incredible staff a wonderful, safe and fun Christmas. Thank you for those who have supported EDE throughout and looking forward to doing the job I love again soon . Lots of love . 🥂

My staff are everything……. Feed back from today’s event , and I wasn’t even present for this one as away for the weekend, but I put my trust in the team and as always they delivered and were professional and hard working. Hoping we are getting back on track with events now, however big or small my team can cater, staff and help run your event , taking the pressure off of you , so you are free to enjoy your party and guests.

Slowly, very slowly the enquiries are coming in , and people are feeling more confident, comfortable and positive about booking future parties, weddings and events, all going in the right direction, fingers crossed the wind has changed and things are moving in the right direction

So today I had a site meeting !!! 🎉🎉 Felt so good chatting and discussing with my lovely returning clients their forthcoming party ( postponed from last year) although it won’t be as big , down sizing and adapting , it felt so good to be discussing their requirements, it’s so hard in this business to plan anything at the moment but today has been a good day 🙂 I’ve had my doubts whether to continue EDE but today has reassured me that I love my job, and I’m bloody good at it! And I miss it terribly , was lovely having a cuddle with their puppy too! Here’s hoping parties , weddings and events will soon be back on track and I can carry out the job I am passionate about and love. It’s been an incredibly hard and worrying year for us all in the event’s industry, EDE has suffered terribly but I’m hoping and praying that 2021 I will start up again , doing the job I love and creating some amazing weddings and events. WISHING ALL OUR PAST & FUTURE CLIENTS, SUPPLIERS AND STAFF A VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR! We are looking forward to hopefully a more certain 2021 for everyone and already have some fabulous events booked in with the assurance that, should the date need to be moved, all our suppliers have guarantees in place for this to happen. Had my first enquiry today for a covid safe Company Christmas party, supplying food and staff to a safe office environment, with the office staff within their bubble, it can be done!! When your feeling a bit down, and missing the job you love so much...... this pings in your inbox 💕🥰😢😊

Wow, what can we say about Emma Davies, Emma Davies Events and her fantastic team – simply not enough!!!

There are no words to describe just how wonderful Emma is and how fantastic her team have been through the past 18 months including coping with a wedding postponement due to Covid and then re-planning the event to be Covid secure for early September.

When we had to postpone, there were no questions, deposit issues or stresses – everything was simply and smoothly transferred to our new date with no loss or distress at all for us. This was all thanks to Emma and the relationships she has built with her team and suppliers.

We agreed a new date and even though there were less numbers allowed and restrictions and requirements multiplied exponentially due to Covid safety, Emma worked with us to create the most perfect day, in the most magical of settings and made my fairy tale wedding dream come true.

All the key words we had used in our first conversations were brought to reality with her team and she created an event which was indeed magical, fairy tale like, spring flower inspired, informal but beautiful and a day we would remember forever.

The set up was smooth and trouble free, the dressing of the area and tables was outstanding and comments from guests on the event look included “film set” and “dream like”.

The food was absolutely fantastic despite having to change our requirements numerous times again to ensure Covid security and again, none of this was too much trouble and all of our guests raved about dish after dish for the quality, the temperature being maintained despite catering in the garden and the stunning presentation of each and every dish.

However, despite all these wonderful words, the true reflection and value of Emma and her team shone through on the actual night. The organisation of the day was detailed in every way without feeling regimented at all, the service to our guests was smooth, swift and always with a smile despite being slightly understaffed as Emma chose to only use her existing social bubble, including persuading her husband and daughter to help who have never worked an event before. They did this to keep us and our guests safe and for this we will always be extremely grateful. This is simply another example of where this amazing woman and her team excel above and beyond expectations and requirements!

Finally, to watch her in action throughout the evening is a joy – albeit exhausting. She never rests, constantly ensuring that everyone is happy, everything is running to plan and everything is completely covered. Her energy and expertise shines through consistently and continuously.
I run my own business and have rather high standards (and openly admit I’m a little OCD!) but I cannot fault Emma or anything she created or arranged for us in any way – it was a truly stunning event in exceptionally difficult circumstances and Emma and her team made all our dreams come true and for this we will always be grateful, thankful and honestly, still a little dazzled!!

We did it! A very special, intimate, fun, covid regulation wedding that was postponed from May. This could be the new ‘normal’ and it’s possible to do! We had to look at all options of the wedding under the covid regulations, from extra space in the open stretch tent to measuring distance between tables, to table service only and changing the menu. Health and safety was paramount, and to help our ‘bubbles ‘ I even had hubby and Summer working! Who have never worked an event. They did me proud . The gorgeous bride changed into her wedding pjs at the end of the night , loved this! A small , romantic, stunning fun wedding that to date is my favourite wedding I have organised even under the difficult challenging circumstances, just goes to prove you don’t need to have big weddings with lots of people you hardly see!!! Wishing dear Andrea Rodney and Wayne Wilson a life time full of happiness together, you are a wonderful beautiful couple and thank you for putting your trust in me! I’ve missed doing what I do best, and loved every single moment, I just hope it’s not too long when I can organise more events.

Set up done ✅ for a socially distance, covid regulation wedding tomorrow, my only event this year 😞 this has been a huge challenge, the new ‘ normal’ may be for future events? I am so looking forward to tomorrow, this amazing, special couple deserve the most perfect day and the EDE team will pull all the stops out to make it happen.... looking forward to sharing the pictures after. Throw back to one of my favourite events , A festival themed party in my clients garden, it was such a huge success , she invited the EDE team back the following year for a repeat performance . Can’t wait to be back doing what we do best .

The UK live events industry is coming together in solidarity today (August 11th) for a day of action to raise awareness of the pandemic’s devastating impact on the sector. Hundreds of venues are set to turn their lights red, along with other creative activities being staged in over 20 cities across the UK to symbolise the industry going into red alert, and a final call to action titled Throw Us A Line will be taking centre stage on London’s South Bank.

A huge number of highly skilled people are employed in event production, audio, lighting, video, logsitcs, planning, transportation and technology - over 70% are freelancers. Without these amazingly talented people there would be no shows for our artists to play. We urge the government not to forgot the events sector and help support it until the live sector is able to recover.

EDE can supply a professional chef and staff to come to your home to cook, serve and clear away giving you and your guests a night of fabulous food in the comfort of your home, and you won’t have to do a thing! We will talk through different menu options with your prior to the night and will supply all the food and equipment needed .

Hi. I do hope you and your families are safe and well. Due to the current situation and the industry we work, all events are ‘on hold’ and we are unclear when our industry will get going again. So In the meantime we would like to offer our services to pubs and restaurants that may need help and advice on how to make the most of their indoor/ outdoor space. We can also supply marquees, stretch tents, heaters, lighting, power , generators, bars, furniture and extra bar staff and meet and greet staff from my trusty staff and suppliers that have worked with me over the years. Every restaurant and pub is bespoke and will do differently, we have the experience and ideas how to help. Good luck to all those opening this weekend. Thank you.

Very productive day . Paper work / sorting out day 😫 one of those jobs I’ve meant to have done for years! Very interesting 2016 and 2018 my best years to date. Also so lovely to have had an enquiry today from a bride wanting to get married next August, lovely that people are thinking beyond this crisis to happier times 😊
