Hesslewood Charitable Causes Fund is back this summer with the 5th Classic Cars at Hesslewood charity event - this year supporting Humber Rescue

Whether you are a classic vehicle fan or not, with so many attractions and activities for the whole family to enjoy, this 100% not-for-profit charity fundraiser is a day out for everyone to take part in.

There will be more details to come, so be sure to like/follow Hesslewood Events to stay up-to-date.

Previous year’s rallies have been a great success. It is hoped that this year - once again in association with East Yorkshire Thoroughbred Car Club - is going to be just as well supported!

We are delighted to announce the near completion of a new riding arena roof for North Ferriby Riding for the Disabled!

The riding arena’s new all-weather roof will allow North Ferriby Riding for the Disabled to continue providing vital therapeutic riding lessons year-round to people with disabilities, regardless of the weather.

This project is a testament to the power of community. Local businesses, organisations, grant providers, and individuals, have donated time, money, expertise, equipment, and materials. The project has been match-funded by the Government via the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and the Rural England Prosperity Fund. The 2024 Classic Cars at Hesslewood event was also a resounding success, with members of the public and participants rallying to support the cause.

On Friday 29th November the charity hosted some of those involved in the ‘Raise the Roof’ project to show supporters the progress made and the impact it will have. Georgia Edwards, a representative of North Ferriby RDA, spoke about the fantastic work the charity has been able to do through fundraising, but that it had never been quite enough to fund a weatherproof arena, which is at the core of being able to operate and provide support to those they serve all year round.

Georgia said “It was in the summer of 2023 that this all changed and Debbie, from Hesslewood Charitable Causes Fund, came along and asked if they could grant us one wish. Our one wish would always be to have a weatherproof riding arena, but we knew this was a big ask. Luckily for us, no ask or project is too big for Hesslewood, or Debbie, and that's why we are stood here today”.

Hesslewood Charitable Causes Fund ( Hesslewood Events ) and Brooklands Property Holdings LTD are proud to have played a key role in this transformative project and thank EVERY business and individual who contributed in any way to its success.

The latest build update from the 'Raise the Roof' project - the building of a riding arena roof for local charity, North Ferriby Riding for the Disabled. The wooden cladding is being installed, which really helps us visualise the scale of this all-weather arena!

Hesslewood Events still need your help to push the build over the completion line! Any amount you can spare will directly benefit the building of this all-weather arena for this fantastic volunteer-led charity.

🎗️We are incredibly proud of Debbie and her continued efforts to ‘Raise the Roof’ for North Ferriby Riding for the Disabled, having waved Peru a fond farewell on Sunday.

🥾Her incredible Lares Trek was not for the faint-hearted, and having trained hard to make sure she was in a position to take on every challenge along the way, we knew she would smash it!
