Hello Everyone,
Hope everyone is keeping ok, Sorry I haven’t been on here much.

I just wanted to pop on and update everyone with what’s happening.

I’ve been asked a lot lately if I’m still doing flowers & my reply is. “Just little bits”, “mainly funeral tributes”, “here there & everywhere”

Over the past few weeks I’ve been thinking about the future & what the plan is going to be with the flowers etc which hasn’t been easy & unfortunately I have had to turn quite a few orders away (which I really hate having to do!!)

However I think I’ve finally came to a decision & my mind is finally made up…

I personally don’t have the time & there isn’t enough hours in the day anymore for me to continue doing as many tributes as I have done in the past. Not only this, but I’m now having to buy extra stock to cover orders & spending more than the order value. Meaning I’m not making anything. My decision is, I think it’s time I start to fade the flowers out and only do what I can.

As of this week, I will only be accepting funeral orders & funeral orders only if I can fit them in around my other commitments, and unfortunately if I can’t I will have to turn you away.

I’m sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause for anyone and I’m terribly sorry for anyone I’ve had to turn away.

Customer Notice;

I would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused, but unfortunately this year I won’t be doing Mothers Day orders. I have had dozens of phone calls these past few days.
I have a couple of orders I’ve taken on aswell as the family orders and this is all I’m doing I’m afraid.
I don’t currently have any other stock other than for the orders I’m doing, so again, I’d like to apologise if you ring and I turn you away.
It wasn’t an easy decision to make, so I’m sorry 👍🏻

I think I need to make a few hard decisions going forward.

The humble white chrysanthemum, the staple flower for a vast percentage of our floral tributes, used by florists far and wide for lettering, hearts, pillows, cushions, wreaths and countless bespoke designs.
This seemingly insignificant little bloom is currently the cause of much stress, anguish and worry throughout the florist community.
Why you ask? In the last few weeks, the cost price of this flower has increased by over 50%, it has more than tripled in the last year and it is increasing every day. Chrysanthemum, traditionally known as a ‘cheap’ flower is currently far out pricing premium flowers such as roses, lily and lisianthus (which has also doubled in price recently!).
We’re hearing reports that it is costing growers an average of £25,000 a day to heat and light their hothouses. Due to the rising energy costs some growers have gone out of business, some growers have turned off their hot houses halting production and those remaining few have had to pass their rising overheads on to us, their customers. The demand currently far outweighs supply which is affecting all colours and varieties of chrysanthemum and a lot of other flowers.
We have tried to keep our prices steady for as long as possible but in the face of it, we have no option but to raise them significantly otherwise we simply won’t have a viable business ourselves. We are looking at cost effective alternatives and will always guide you through the options as best we can. At the moment white hydrangea is looking like the best option although they all have a slightly fluffier finish. If you have any questions regarding this, any concerns or worries then please do get in touch, we’re always on hand to help where possible.

Just a quick update regarding Valentines Day.

Unfortunately due to the increasing prices, the cost of materials, and busy with other work, this year I will NOT be taking any orders for Valentines Day.

There is now way I can compete with supermarket flowers & their prices, & last year I just wasted my time. So unfortunately I have decided to turn Valentines down.

I will need to stick to my word in afraid, & I will only be accepting funeral orders at the minute…

Firstly I just want to apologise to all customers - I’m running quite behind with all orders this year. I have loads to do in so little time.

Please can customers be aware, I don’t just do my flowers anymore and I do have another job, so things are a lot slower this year, please bare with me - I will get there eventually!!
This weekend alone will be delays so sorry for any inconvenience…

Second of all, I just also would like to apologise for all the customers I’ve sadly had to turn away. There’s only so much work I can do, and unfortunately I’m not a robot…

Unfortunately that is it for this year, I am now officially finished taking Christmas orders for this year. I have cut my wreath orders down massively this year due to not having as much time. This explains why I haven’t advertised as much as I normally would

CHRISTMAS WREATHS 2022

I am now officially taking LIMITED Christmas wreath orders for this year.

This year Unfortunately I am reducing all work load due to working another part time job aswell as my own.

All grave wreaths this year will be standard sizes of Medium & Large.

Door wreaths will be Medium, Large & XX large.

Please get in touch if you would like to order your wreaths as I would hate to have to turn you away later on.

If possible could I please have all wreath orders no later than Monday 5th December - this gives me time get all wreaths finished by my deadline this year of MONDAY 19TH DECEMBER. After 19th December I will not be taking any more orders unfortunately & would like all orders out before this. This gives me time to concentrate on both jobs this year. The last few years have been manic!

I will post updates & photos as and when I can.
