Northumberland Lieutenancy is proud to celebrate HRH The Princess of Wales’ Together at Christmas with a community carol service at Hexham Abbey, Monday 9 December, 7-8.30pm as one of the 15 Lieutenancies selected. The Abbey will close from 12.45pm today for a large funeral service and reception. We will reopen this evening for the town light switch on and Carols and Cocoa around the piano 🙏🏻

We are delighted to be welcoming Russell Watson to the Abbey this weekend.
If you are a ticket holder, please remember this event coincides with the fireworks in the town and therefore parking will be extremely busy in Hexham!
Please utilise the parking at the Travellodge site and use public transport if you are able to.

Our Threads through Creation Art Workshops this afternoon are from 2-5pm!
There are still spaces for children and adults to join. £5 for accompanied children with a paying adult or £10 if children would like to come along without a paying adult. Just send us a message to get booked on!

Threads through Creation Arts Workshop
We are delighted, as part of our Threads through Creation exhibition, to welcome Steve Pardue Artist to Hexham Abbey.

Steve will be delivering 4 workshops over 2 days. The workshops will take you on a journey through this creation where you will create your own mini version in the form of a Chapbook (a zig-zag book). You will be creating your own book and so no great artistic skill is required - just observation and a joy of making and drawing stories.

The cost of the workshop will include a small kit of materials. Individual adult £25.

On 25 October there will be space for a family ticket (1 adult and 1 child @ £30).
