That's a wrap!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

This year has been a blast and very busy, I've been honoured to supply and create amazing flowers for so many different styles of weddings thank you to each and every couple who gave me creative freedom to do what I do best, to create unforgettable wedding flowers.
Special thanks to an amazing team I could not have done any of it without them their help support and humour
Christine, Sue, Susie, Dee, Alix, Erin, Daisy, Jane, Nicola, and of course my hubby Pete.
My studio is now closed untill the new year and all new emails will be replied to from the 6th January (outstanding emails will be replied to between Christmas and New Year)
Thank you for all the orders and reccomendations it all helps to keep this little farm of mine growing and supplying flowers to florists and weddings throught the flower season.

I wish you all a restful time with your family, loved ones and friends.

Kate has been presenting her special brand of Christmas workshop magic since 2012 and we are always pleased to welcome her back to the Battlesteads.

You’ll arrive to a warm welcome and festive treats plus coffee/tea, then the workshop will start 11.30am!

Kate will provide everything you’ll need for making your wreath, all you will need to bring is your festive spirit.

You’ll be provided with aprons to protect your festive clothes, bags of northumbrian foliage, boxes of decorations and bundles of the best quality ribbons and of course the best tuition from Kate to help you create a fabulous door wreath.

Join me Matfen Hall on Friday 29th November for my only luxury Christmas door wreath Masterclass this season.
We will be situated in the Orangery which will be beautifully transformed into a gorgeous Christmas scene, overlooking the stunning parkland.
There'll be an array of hand picked scented Christmas foliage grown in Northumberland, traditional dried decorations and a selection of baubles and other luxury pieces for you to adorn your own handcrafted luxury wreath with....not forgetting my impressive selection of bows to finish with too!

I am so so sorry for the dire lack of regular life of a flower farmer florist and other what not.
I do have issues with handling social media on different platforms, I can just about manage here and insta but still can't quite get the hang on toctok 🤦‍♀️

Every day is different for a self employed like me but today good old Thursday has so far involved....
A dawn collection of a bridal bouquet and maids posy for a top secret elopement # mylipsaresealed I can assure you on this one ❤️
Making numerous gift bouquets - now all delivered
Florist orders delivered
Road trip with my dad for his Parkinsons Clinic appt - massive shout out to Bekky today's receptionist at The Cresta Clinic at the General Hosp - you are true salt of the earth.
A quick Christmas materials stock take and place orders.
A last minute dash to eye clinic for me before op tomorrow
A visit to our fav supermarket in Elswick - M&A Bros - we've gone there for over 30 years now
Quick bite and cuppa
Drop Dad off at home and quick chat and update with my godfather who was visiting for lunch

Now about to wrap 20 of the best bunches of freshest Northumbrian grown flowers to drop off at BBrocksbushes Farm ShopFollowed by weeklies changeover at the fabulous MMatfen Hallagain with all my own grown flowers in a gorgeous autumnal palette

Thrilled to let you know that I have collaborated with Erin from Floral Design in creating a special piece for the Secret Art Sale.
The Secret Art Sale has been created by Lucy and Paul the team behind For the Love of the North Art in many forms is donated to them to sell at £50 per piece, 100% of all sales go to Bay Food Bank on North Tyneside.
The preview evening was last night and totally bowled over and DELIGHTED to say that our piece was the very first piece to sell!
You can still view all the pieces in the exhibition today and tomorrow at Spanish City down at Whitley Bay.

Taking place at the fabulous new Brocksbushes Farm Shop

✨ Brand new event for Pumpkins 2024! ✨

We will be hosting a Pumpkin Floral Arrangement workshop, where you have the opportunity to create your own floral arrangement, using a selection of autumnal seasonal flowers, foliage and berries selected by Kate from Northumbrian Flowers, and one of our farm-grown pumpkins 🎃🍂💐

🎃 Date: Thursday 17th October
🍂 Times: 10am or 2pm
💐 Duration: 90 minutes
✨ What's included: your own Brocksbushes pumpkin, with your autumnal floral arrangement which you will have prepared yourself. Enjoy a range of tea and coffee as well as homemade cakes and pastries during the workshop.

If you're not headed down to town or South Shields to watch the Great North Run then hop over to Ushaw College to visit their annual weekend long flower festival.
One of my freelancers alix wild design is one of the designers there this year. ALL the flowers and some foliage used in all her displays are from the flower farm. She's used sustainable floristry mechanics and NO floral foam of any type. A great move and should be applauded and it's fabulous to see more and more young florists actively working towards being totally foam free in all of their work wether it be weddings, events or flower festivals.
The more that work this way the better for our environment and your children and children's children......
