Bespoke cakes can sometimes take days or weeks to complete, so please be kind to cake makers when they give you a quote. A cake is not just a cake but often a piece of art.
Now thereβs nothing wrong with a supermarket bought cake, but they are made on a production line with hundreds exactly the same, hence the price. Bespoke cakes are designed from scratch, and from experience I can say that a lot of love and passion goes in to each of my commissions.
Then thereβs the cake board, boxes, labels, electricity, replying to enquiries, taking orders, research, stock taking, ordering materials, collections, deliveries.... and lots more! So please be kind when a cake maker canβt make your dream 3 tier cake for Β£30.00! π(not from personal experience but Iβve had similar!)
