So it’s here the last week of running my blooming lovely flower shop after so many years until the new owner takes over on Saturday 3rd February, mixed emotions with excitement for my new career and sadness at leaving the flowers behind. Hoping you will all support Tim and his team in the shop.

Now this is what I’ll miss, one of my lovely customer/friends saw me frozen in the shop and brought me a hot chocolate! Hinckley people are just the best❤️❤️❤️

After 13 years of running my business here in lovely Hinckley I will be leaving at the beginning of February. I’ve been offered a great new role nearer to home in Birmingham helping self employed and small business owners which I’m really excited to begin. But although I’ll be gone Blooming lovely has been sold to new owners so it will continue to grow and serve the community.
I have so many happy memories and friendships and I’m proud of what I built from scratch but it’s time for me to have more of a work life balance with my family and I’m looking forward to having weekends off and holidays
Lots of travels are planned
I will miss it and the lovely customers especially Josie Pateman and Richard Lobb who helped me
More than they would ever know but I’m sure flowers will still be a part of my life in some way. Thank you to everyone of you who trusted me to share in the most important parts of your lives , I have thousands of photos to remind me I hope if you are passing by you will pop in to see me before I go. ###

Today we say goodbye to my friend and neighbour in hinckley. We moved into our shops on the same day and were like an old married couple, he would nag me and I’d nag him right back. We took this photo many years ago as it was a rare sight to see Richard Lobb make a brew 😂 But I have never met a more determined man who wanted to look after his wife Jo and all his children and grandchildren who were his whole world. He loved his customers and brought lots of happy holiday memories to so many over the years. I’d listen as he’d have all the customers laughing and many came in just to have a natter.
Our shops have not been the same since Richard and I miss you. Rest in peace dear friend but I’m sure you are up there causing mischief!
You kept me going and I hope I did the same for you ### lots of love ###

My eldest son has his university graduation ceremony in Exeter and I just can’t miss that. Apologies for any inconvenience but this proud mum can’t wait to celebrate!!
