Tucked away on Hill Road, just a short walk from the village centre, the club has grown over more than 100 years to form the social hub of the local community. As you’d expect the club has a
fantastic fully stocked bar bar run by Bar Manager Lil Samson offering a good range of drinks including local real ales, guinness, five draft lagers, Stowford Press cider along with wines and spirits; all at extremely reasonable prices. Entertainment
There is a large sized function room thats available to hire to both members and non-members. It has it's own bar access along with a stage area and full AV system with lights and HD 1080p projector. The club regularly hosts many fabulous evenings of entertainment with bands such as The Upbeat Beatles, Rollin’ Clones, Temperance 7, Beats Working, iWitness, Joe Jammer, along with Discos, Race Nights and occasionally even Karaoke! The club has 2 full size snooker tables, a pool table and dart boards for use by members. TV Sport
The club shows all major sporting events on its 10ft screen & three flat screens (3 different sports can be screened at the same time if required). The club has Sky Sports & TNT Sports offering all available Premiership and World Cup football & rugby, 6 Nations rugby, etc. Cricket, Golf and Darts are also shown along with other major sporting events; The Grand National, F1 Grand Prix, Wimbledon, etc. Other sports can be shown if a screen is free, ask at the bar. Other Facilities
Free WI-FI access for laptops, tablets and smartphones. There is an outdoor fenced seating area which is particularly popular in the summer with both humans and their 4-legged canine friends. It also has heating for the more hardy in the winter if they need ‘fresh air’. There is free car parking at the front and back of the club and additional parking on Hill Road. We are just a short walk away from the free village car parks and on street parking. Membership
Membership of the club is only £20 a year, Students £10 & Juniors (16 – 18) £5, so drop in anytime, have a look around and ask the bar staff for a Membership Application Form. Membership Rewards cards are issued to all current members giving them 10% back, as ‘points’, on purchases of drinks and snacks from the bar. The points can be spent at the bar once earned and offer members a further discount on the club’s already low prices, when compared to other local hostelries. Private Functions
The club makes an excellent venue for holding birthday parties, anniversaries, etc. with great facilities and low bar prices. Members can hire the club function room for just £30 which includes use of the kitchen (on request), the PA system (which can accept mobile phone, tablet or PC input) and stage & dance floor lighting for discos. The Hall Hire Application Form can be collected from the club in person or downloaded from our website. The ‘function room’ also includes a projector, with HDMI & wireless input, and large 10ft diameter screen making it a great venue for meetings of all kinds as well. Opening Times
The club is open from 4pm (Mon-Thursday), Midday-Midnight (Friday-Saturday) and from 2pm-10 (Sunday)
