THE BIG(GEST) BRODSTOCK COMMUNITY RAFFLE | Winners list

On Saturday, just after 5pm on the Main Stage, local rugby legend Gareth Widdop played draw master for our big raffle!

This year a whopping £15,000 has been raise through the raffle, for the causes listed below, so we’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket

£1000 CASH was the 1st Prize, thanks to the support from Caravan Guard, and a further 19 prizes were donated by many other brilliant local businesses too. We’re truly grateful 🙏

🎉 On Saturday 22nd June the gates open at 11.30am for our 10th anniversary music festival and here’s all the important stuff…..

🎫 Firstly, we’re completely SOLD OUT so please don’t turn up without a ticket as you will be turned away

ON ARRIVAL:
👉 Please arrive wearing your wristbands to speed up entry
👉 Remember that, this year, all U18s MUST be accompanied by an adult otherwise entry will be refused (regardless of if they have a ticket)
👉 Be prepared to have all bags checked on entry

BAG CHECKS:
We know they’re a little intrusive but we need to make sure we keep people safe and, in the main, the following are not brought in…

QUESTION TIME:
Here’s the ANSWERS to questions people have been messaging this week.....

✅ Yes… we WILL swap any adult (18 and over) wristbands for Junior (12-17years) wristbands (….and vice versa) if needed.

✅ Yes…you CAN bring in a picnic/coolbag
but…. please accept that you will need to show the contents to the security staff on entry

✅ You CAN bring in your own drinks
but….please make sure they have sealed/unbroken caps (….and remember, no glass, no alcohol, or alcoholic-free lagers/ciders etc)

✅ You CAN bring a small gazebo or shelter
but…. please don’t put them up in front of the stages or in the walkways

✅ You CAN bring in folding chairs and picnic blankets

🚫 You can’t get on to the site before the gates open (11.30am) for you to set your chairs/gazebo etc

🐕 No dogs (accept Assistance Dogs)

With a blend of party classics, pumping anthems, catchy singalongs and cheesy pop; here’s a sibling duo who will finish things off in style on Saturday 22nd June

Filling the dance floor from 10pm and raising the roof; the clubhouse will be bouncing as these fellas take us into the wee small hours

In 2013 Ang Curran approached the rugby club to see if they’d be interested in teaming up to create a fundraising music festival

Brodstock was born and 11 years later over £100k has been raised for Overgate Hospice so far (….plus thousands for other great causes!)

Ang and the Brighouse Friends of Overgate are still very much involved in the festival and will be welcoming everyone in on Saturday 22nd June

Well done on building a wonderful legacy of support for Calderdale’s one and only hospice Ang

Here’s everything you need to know….

🎙️ Our 10th Anniversary family-friendly Brodstock X takes place on Saturday 22nd June 2024

🎙️ Tickets go on sale at 10.30am on SATURDAY 9TH MARCH from the Old Brodleians here in Hipperholme

HOW TICKETS WILL BE SOLD
📍Tickets will ONLY be sold from one location (the rugby club)
📍We’ve never sold tickets online so be suspicious if you see them available via social media
☀️Our volunteers will be selling the tickets from a dedicated area inside the clubhouse
☀️Doors won’t open until 10.30am on Saturday
☀️Tickets will be on sale until 6pm OR until they’ve sold out

TICKET CATEGORIES
🎟️ General Admission tickets are £23 each
🎟️ However… ALL General Admission tickets on sale this weekend are available at the EARLY BIRD price of £18 each 🐦

🎟️ General Admission tickets are required for everyone 12 years and above

🎟️ Those who are under 12 on the 22nd June gain entry for free, when accompanied by a ticket holder, and will receive a free wristband to wear
🎟️ 12 - 17 years will be given a different ticket so it clearer who is under 18
🎟️ VIP tickets are £35 each (they include access to the VIP Area - a covered bar with seating, quick bar access and posh toilets!)

⚠️ NEW FOR 2024 ⚠️

1️⃣ When purchasing your tickets you’ll need to let us know the age breakdown of your group. We’ll simply need to know:
👉 How many Under 12s need a free ticket
👉 How many 12 to 17 year olds
👉 How many are 18 and above
This is so we can give you the relevant ticket type

2️⃣ On festival day; under 18s will only be able to enter the festival site when accompanied by an adult with a ticket

🎶 Tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis
🎶 Where there’s a queue on Saturday morning; a maximum of 10 adult tickets will be sold per person
🎶 We prefer card payments but also accept cash

✅ The ticket sales point is very accessible to everyone. There’s no steps and entry is via double doors.
✅ If you have health concerns or you’re worried about queuing/standing for a prolonged period we have an indoor seated waiting area you can make use of. On arrival simply make yourself known to one of our volunteer greeters and they will show you inside.
✅ There will be Blue Badge priority parking available on the day
✅ We set a maximum of 10 tickets to be purchased so friends and family can buy them on behalf of others if the cannot get there on the 9th March for any reason

🎵 ABOUT THE FESTIVAL 🎵
Brodstock is a family-friendly, one day festival taking place on the pitches of the Old Brodleians rugby club.

🎪 Gates open to ticket holders at 11.30am and outstanding local musicians entertain the crowds for more than 10 hours over two stages

🍔 Our popular Kids Zone and children’s activities run until 6pm and there’s street food and bars

🥇 We’re not-for-profit, trying to raise as much as we can for our causes and run solely by volunteers. We’re proud to be one of Yorkshire’s biggest annual benefit concert in terms of how much we raise. We’re also humbled to have picked up a number of awards along the way.

♥️ Our first Brodstock was in 2014 and so far the festival has helped raise over £180,000 for good causes. That includes £100,000 for Overgate Hospice, £25,000 for Yorkshire Air Ambulance, £15,000 for the Calderdale MS Group and £40,000 for other charities and local schools.

🔥 Bravado Cartel 🔥

Ready to rock our Main Stage on Saturday 22nd June is Bravado Cartel

Hailing from Huddersfield, these gents have forged their unique blend of alt-rock to establish themselves as one of the best loved original acts in Yorkshire.

Their sound has been described as “High octane, thunderous drums, fresh funked-up synth, driven ‘lead’ bass lines and screaming, slightly menacing guitars all held together by linchpin lead singer Will Bloy’s distinctive message riddled lyrics”.

Over the years, as well as writing some chart-topping songs, they have been finalists for the UK’s ‘Live and Unsigned’ and have provided a rock single anthem for Huddersfield Town FC.

Bringing his commanding onstage presence, BC is led by frontman Will Bloy. Then there’s the Les Paul toting lead guitarist Jonny Green. Shayne Whitton, an “alcohol infused lunatic”, on drums. Latest member, Will Gould (aka The Professor) brings crunchy organs, pianos and quirky synth riffs. And last but not least, the bass messiah Joffa Armstrong.

Hitting the Main Stage on Saturday 22nd June is Displaced - a young female fronted, local rock trio who hail from Halifax & Huddersfield.

Playing a range of songs from Led Zeppelin to Fleetwood Mac, The Police to Queen we have Georgina (Singer/Bassist), Aidan (Drummer) and Sam (Guitarist)
