Happy Monday Everyone, I hope you are all ok and enjoying the sunshine! ❤️ Summer holidays have arrived (along with a double helping of chaos) and we have a jam packed wedding diary this August! The beautiful Frankie is holding the fort in the shop with lots of fresh flowers and bouquets ready for you whilst I try to keep the miniatures out of trouble, full of endless snacks and try not to have a G&T at 3pm 😂! I hope you are all surviving if you are also juggling! Today is a good day, why you ask, I’ve remembered to stick my head up 😂 turns out I’ve been lost in a flowery dream for over 6 weeks! Sometimes I have it all together, other times I loose 2 months and it’s the longest day of the year this week; anyone else know where the time has gone? 😂🙈
I hope life is good for you all, we have been busy flowering for some of the most incredible couples with THE most stunning wedding flowers and I can’t wait to share pictures from them! Peony season has been fabulous (as always) so the shop has been super busy with you all buying all things flowery!
Behind the scenes I’ve also been popping (😂 less popping but I keep telling myself that) to Southend every Friday for the very handsome Toby’s assistant dog training. Swipe to see his lovely face! 🦮🐾 And my weeks have been fuelled with iced beverages as we’ve also been potty training the miniatures and completing an EHCP (support paperwork to help children with disabilities) for Ted’s start at primary school! For those of you that are also completing those, I’m sending you all the love, they are more forms than anyone should be required to complete! This week marks Neurodiversity week, so it seemed only fitting to introduce our newest team member Toby 🦮!
For those of you that don’t know, our very own Gin House Miniature, Ted was diagnosed with autism back in October 2022, he’s currently non-verbal but with the most brilliant mind! After lots of research we’ve decided to train our very own support dog who will hopefully in time, once our training is complete be able to guide Ted in everyday life and help support us when we go out and experience new adventures! So as a working dog, you will find Toby in the shop helping us in all our day to day activities and bringing a very cute tail wag to the shop!
Toby will help provide Ted with reassurance in times of anxiety, will be attached with a harness to help keep him safe near roads and when out and about, improve communication skills and relieve stress! And what better way to introduce him, than in my love needs no words jumper, .a.a.clothing helping raise awareness and making Ted smile every time I wear it! ❤️🦮🌹🌺🌷

And that’s a wrap, Mother’s Day 2024 has been completed and what a week that was! The biggest thank you to my incredible team, you guys were absolutely incredible, they were some mad hours supported by the most amazing family behind the scenes! ❤️ From ordering the flowers, to cutting the paper, prepping the shop, conditioning the flowers and then making all of those bouquets! Without you all, it would not have happened!
To our incredible customers thank you! To those that placed ordered, shared our posts and brought us so many sweet treats, we do it for you! You are the absolute heart of Gin House and we are so so grateful! Now I sleep, rest and squeeze my very own Gin House Miniatures! We will be back on Tuesday from 9:30-5pm with a shop refilled with flowers and we will be back on the emails then too! It’s funny, it’s called Mother’s Day, but I’m not sure there is a florist out there who doesn’t call it Mother’s Day Week! 😂🌷🌹 Our chocolate consumption has already started and the biggest flower order I think I have ever placed has just been finalised, very soon the shop will look awash with flowers and I can’t blooming wait! There is still time to get your order in and there is still space for deliveries including on Sunday! 4 more sleeps till my favourite day of the year, the Saturday before Mother’s Day! 😂 Can you tell I don’t get out much! 🌷🌺❤️🌹🍾

Is anyone else done with January, it’s absolutely the longest month ever! We’ve had every lot of sickness going, the miniature’s are full of all the bugs and my ironing pile is crazy! 🙈 To those of you doing dry January hats off to you, your better people than me 😂😂!! But, February is nearly here, tulip season has begun and it’s definitely my birthday soon, so that’s definitely an excuse for bubbles! 🍾 we are back open from tomorrow from 9:30am and I’ve splashed out on some blooming lovely tulips and anemones that I know our beautiful Frankie will work her magic with! And we are back 🍾❤️🙈 the slippers and pjs have been swapped for less elasticated waist trousers (absolute nightmare I won’t lie) 😂 and work boots, the G&T’s and Fizz (and baileys coffee) have been swapped for coffee, the picky cheese boards have gone and I was going to tell you it’s full of something fun. But I won’t lie, it’s January and I’m missing all of the above 😂 however we have a sale with all our fabulous Christmas stock, some items having up to 70% off including cards, gifts, gonks and decorations! We also have fresh flowers back in stock and Frankie is busy making some beautiful bunches! Sometimes I have to pinch myself, I’m not sure when that little Gin House dream turned into what you all see today; but let me say thank you to you all. Our late night shopping last night was incredible, thank you to everyone who came and supported us, you absolutely made the little girl inside me happy dance all evening (and today if truth be told). We can’t wait to see all of your festive orders come together, the wreath classes, gift shopping and flowers. Thank you, for supporting my little flower oasis on the high street, for making that little girls dreams come true! ❤️ And another thank you, to Mr Gin House and the official Gin House family for all the child care, fruit wiring, preparations, brownies and wine at the end of the night, you are the heart of Gin House and I love you more than I can say! ❤️💐🌺
